BAH HUMBBUG!

Has or does anyone play this game? It's awesome! At first it took me a little while to get used to it, having been to used to the other ones on Xbox, but after playing several times and learning the maps and getting the hang of it. This game rocks.
Online they even improved wait time and server connection, although I did has a little trouble with it the other night which was irritating but it got all worked out.
Everyone says it's so great, but I don't know if I should get it.
Modern Combat looks more fun but I could be wrong :(

Well I haven't played modern combat but Ghost Recon ADWF kicks ass. Honestly trying to be fair an unbais towards the game it is hard to pick out what is wrong with it. The only thing that comes to mind is the server connection and on a scale of 1-10 that is only a 1. So it's not that big a deal.
Even if you do not play online even the story mode is fun.
It rocks, especially if you played/like the others

Oh and I am speaking of the 360 version. The regular Xbox version is a completely different and weaker game.
I did hate the 2nd game in the series :(

I never played the first one, but I loved Ghost Recon 2.
I got GR3 but I've only played it for about twenty minutes. :(

Yes. The graphics are great but the controls are very complex, so as much as I want to play it, I just don't have the time.
I can't learn how to control my squad with map controls while trying to learn History, you know?

I think it was a four on three match I had, with no respawns. It was so awesome. We were in a tactical line, and while walking I broke off to the left to make my way to the enemy base while my two other buddies went straight.
So anyway, I go through the base and it's clear, then I hear gunshots. Three kills, and since I broke off from my other two buddies and flanked the exit I see an enemy coming down the path towards me and I'm at their base, so I shoot him and it's game over. Best match ever. :D

Wow, your still pretty early in the game. You gotta order the Apache to kill it. Focus on the tank, first. Then just move over on your D-Pad and then press up. When you move over it bring up the helicopters orders. I think Up is attack.

I beat that part on hard, it was so intense. Tracers were flying around my duder's head, and the tank shot a shell at me but I ducked just in time and it flew over the half cover...
Anyways, chyeah, and I think to select the chopper you have to press right when the option is available.

Just beat the game yesterday, the game is awesome, but the ending sucked. Why don't games have good endings anymore. The games in the NES and SNES/Genesis era had such better endings, there should be much better endings with the technology available today.

I can't seem to get past this. I kill everyone, but there is nowhere else to go once you get to the part where you can't go into the restricted sector. I've ordered the tanks to move forward, but they start getting attacked by enemy tanks. I command them to shoot but they don't fire.
Any help?

You're supposed to clear the enemy emplacements on the street from the roof, then tell the tanks to move and keep doing that.

If you use something automatic/or semi-automatic without a scope next Hype match, I'll admit you are very good at CoD2.

That's an in-game bug you've encountered. The only solution is to restart the level and see if it works.
amazingfantasy15
07-19-2006, 03:55 PM
I don't think restarting the level even works, you've got to just let your tanks keep attacking the forces until they're destroyed, sometimes it takes a while, but your character can't get the job done.

I hated that level. Anyway, check the link below. I marked what to do.
http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/411/grawic2.jpg
Follow the arrows up the ramps to the top of the building.
The circle is where you have to stand to shoot the snipers from the surrounding buildings.
In the box on the left, you'll see an enemy vechicle, use your tactical map have them shoot it.
If that doesn't help, restart the level and check and FAQ. I'd get a link to one but I don't remember the levels in GRAW.

Yeah, I got way past that part, but I get stuck at the part where there's a restricted sector. I whipe out all enemies in sight but when I command my tanks to proceed, they get attacked by enemies ahead on the road, but when I command them to shoot, the driver says "Yes, sir!" but he doesn't fire.
If it's a glich/bug like someone mentioned, restarting won't fix it.

That's happened to me on some occassions where they don't fire, but I got through it. you could always try shooting the enemy tanks yourself. Just take one of the dozens of 36ks the rebels have and shoot it.

No can do. The enemy tanks are blocked by a street full of buildings, out of view. Thanks for helping though.

Georgia-Russia conflict predicted in 2001 video game
Life imitates Tom Clancy
By Mike Smith
Recent news coverage of the worrying ground war between Russia and Georgia could well leave gamers with a sense of deja vu.
The South Ossetia war, which began on August 7, bears a close resemblance to events portrayed in the 2001 Xbox and Playstation 2 game "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon," the first level of which takes place against the backdrop of a struggle between Georgian rebel forces and the legitimate Georgian government in the South Ossetian region.
Ghost Recon's plot follows these skirmishes with a full-scale Russian invasion of the region, a subsequent evacuation of US forces, and ultimately the fall of the Georgian government. Ghost Recon almost got the timescale right, too: the game's imaginary events begin in April 2008, just a few months before the real war kicked off.
If Ghost Recon's uncanny trend continues, we can expect the South Ossetia conflict to culminate in a dramatic assault on Red Square and the Kremlin by NATO troops -- spearheaded by an elite US special forces team under the control of a pimply fourteen-year-old with a joypad. Considering that the most recent game in the Ghost Recon series climaxes with an oh-so-narrowly-averted terrorist nuclear strike on the US, we hope the predictive power of the game runs out. Soon.
