Activision... I guess they're a step up from EA. :o
Pretty much anything is a step up from EA, but Activision? The property could be in better hands. It could be in much worse hands though.

For some reason, I first thought of Halo 3 when I saw the thread title. LOL
Still good news.

You're forgetting that Activision has some great FPS games, such as the Quake, Doom, Wolfenstein, Call of Duty, StarWars: Jedi Knight and other franchises.
If they can get Raven, Gray Matter or even Infinity Ward to make a James Bond game, it will undo all the garbage EA dumped on the license.
Maybe they could even contract Starbreeze!

Stop lying to yourself. :(Me and my friends continually played the map with the two castles in the snow. Grab the sniper on the top of your castle and snipe away. Or use the monorails for stealth assault.
Ah the fun we had...

That was the best map, but it was in no way a good map. :(

Who made golden eye? That game was tight as hell.

Damn, 2014? Thats a great deal. I wonder if they'll try and put out a game for Casino Royale? I'd rather they stuck with original games overall though, meaning non-movie based Bond games.

Rare, as in my avatar. Everyone says they suck now that Microsoft bought them but they're still good. Their last two or three games were great.

Didn't they make Banjo and Kazoowi? I loved those games.
WhatsHisFace

Yeah, they made the Donkey Kong Countries and BattleToads too. Everyone seems to like their Killer Instinct games but I was never one for fighters. I like Banjo Kazooie and Perfect Dark the most.

I wish I still had Goldeneye. I could download the rom and use my 360 controller but I can't get the SP2 since I use a cracked Windows... :( and the controller just work on Windows with SP2.

Wait, I thought you hated Doom 3?
Everyone hated Doom 3. Obviously, id won't make a James Bond game since they're working on a new Wolfenstein for the 360.
But even if they were, they wouldn't try to make James Bond a dark-horror game with monster-closets.
id just needs to stick to action-packed action.

Wait, so what doom game did you like?
WhatsHisFace
05-03-2006, 04:17 PM
Well some kid snuck copies of Doom 1 and Doom 2 into our school back in they day, and we used to have fun playing that while we were supposed to be typing.
Other than that though, Doom wasn't a terribly interesting game. But you're focusing on one tree. Look at the forest of Activision's good-FPS track record.

I liked it for what it was. And some parts were really really cool. Like when the screen would trip out and you where in that living room. And the intire hell section was pretty crazy.
But no, it was no Halo.

The news didn't warrant the thread title... after all, it's still just Activision. Not all of us loathe EA so much so that we'd praise Activision.

Star Fox Adventures was okay, Grabbed by the Ghoulies sucked, Conker: Reloaded was a good remake of a good game, Perfect Dark Zero was decent but no where near as good as the original, and Kameo completely sucked ass. And Viva Pinata, what the f**k. Rare has just lost the touch when they were with Nintendo.

The original Perfect Dark owned Goldeneye. Too bad it came out towards the end of N64's run and no one played it. They should have just held it off for another year and put it on Gamecube.
