That would be cool Welling as supes. Remember under the direction of BS who knows how great he could might act.imagine welling pumping iron for this movie he will be 100x times larger than routh pumping iron.
Opposite of JC's question...what if this movie is critically and publically trashed and pretty much just blows?

I wonder how many will eat their words and how many will live in absolute denial...sorta like with the kid...I argue that AT LEAST 75 % of the people who claim to like the kid, would've raised hell about it were it Jon Peters' idea.

Most don't claim they like the kid afaik. They just don't mind him if it serves a point to the story. Other than that, if the movie sucks imo I will say so first chance I get. I hope it won't though as I'm looking forward to it and have a good feeling.

Well I'm fine with Singer and Routh but...
Besides Wolfie, I thought the rumor of M Night Shyamalan was interesting. If I remember right the casting rumor for an M Night movie was Jude Law as Superman and Bruce Willis as Lex. Would have been interesting. :o
Btw I liked Cavill a lot too for a younger Supes :up:

The predicted outcome... I dunno, it could go to far for some fans. For me, I would have to see how it plays out. The whole piano thing sounds odd though.
If the kid is superman's son, I doubt they will kill him in a movie that will be at least partially marketed to children. Therefore I predict numerous ****ty sequels where the kid is always getting in wacky hijinks that Supes has to bail him out of (See Legend of Zorro)

What if the movie bombs?
Whether the film is good or bad, I feel that's a possible scenario as the public never seems excited about the character of Superman as much as the anti hero's of late.
Anyways, if it sucks... It deserves to bomb. If it doesn't suck and bombs, or more realisticly doesn't do "GREAT" I think a sequel is still not out of the question if kids get into the merchandising aspect and DVD sales are good... Which is likely because most Superman fans which is a decent fan base will likely purchace SR if it is at least a good film.
