View Full Version : Who's Stupid Now? (Infinite Crisis Spoilers)

Joker

Well, some really stupid stuff did happen in relation to Infinite Crisis, such as Superboy punching the universe, but I think that issue 7 totally made up for that one. Alexander Luthor got f**ked up, hardcore. Seriously, that was the most graphic thing I've ever seen the Joker's acid squirting flower do to anyone, and Luthor's lines were totally bad ass.

Discuss :o

#7 was damn excellent. Very epic, very intense, and really just the exact way you could hope a story like that would be. Joker being involved (finally)), an ominous prediction from Superboy Prime, every Green Lantern in the universe going into battle; it was everything you could hope for, really. It just had so many great moments.

I did have a slight problem with some of the changes they're making to the characters (the most obvious being Wonder Woman getting her invisible jet back), but other than that, I loved it.

the thing with the invisible jet is, it's never drawn right...it should be done like in Halo and you have active camo...if it's moving you can sort of see it, and you shouldnt be able to see her sitting there in nothing flying it either, that just doesnt seem right to me...also, how could she know where she parked it?

That scene was so awesome. One of my favorite Joker scenes ever.

they should really use Joker like that more often...just have him come out of nowhere, not say anything, kill someone brutally while laughing, and leave...

It was an effective use of the Joker. It's good to see him back in full homicidal maniac form instead of getting punked by Hush. Its appropriate that after all the hell caused by alex luthor in the DCU, He stopped cold by the Joker. Bonus points to Lex for not even getting his hands dirty.

And I guess everyone also knows this already but in IC 7 they also changed Batman's origin again. They said Joe Chill got caught like in the Batman Begins movie.

Well that was hinted to in #6, but confirmed now. Personally, I like it better with Bats not knowing.

Awesome.......so, now....what's Chill's fate exactly? He dead pre-Bruce journey or is that not followed up yet?

Joker

not followed up yet, but from what was said it sounds like he either died in prison, or is still alive

In my opinion, it's better that Batman knows the face behind his parents' killer, as it shows how selfless the character (Bruce Wayne) truly is.
Some people view Bats as a crazed vigilante who fights against Gotham criminals, only because he never had the chance to punish the murderer of his parents.
Most of us on here know that the tragedy in Wayne's early life served only as a motivation for his war on crime, but not everyone sees it that way.
With Joe Chill restored as the convicted murderer of the Waynes, we now have some proof to back up Wayne's true intent - to safeguard the innocents of Gotham City.

Yeah. It's not personal anymore. He's got chance at vengenace, and so....honestly.....it's not about the possibility of maybe finding his parents killer anymore.

That's gonna go down as one of the most memorable pages in DC comics history, mark my words.

I only hope we get to see at least a fraction of what Joker can do in the Begins sequel. If it's a PG-13 rating Warner Bros. is pushing for, I'm just a little bit worried.

That is honestly one of the better pages of a comic that I've seen in years. I had a feeling that the Joker would have some major part in IC after he was denied any part.

Luthor and The Joker make a great villain team.

Is this The Joker's come back?

God.....I'm happy to see the fate of Alex Luthor. I hated that guy. So damn annoying. I like how Lex and Joker seem to team up here, they can make for an awesome villian team.

The "You didn't let Joker play" line.....perfect.

Btw, anyone know who drew that page? I know the art duties on IC was varied.

Is this The Joker's come back?Well, Morrison's run won't be about him. Maybe Dini's... He did say he wanted to squeeze Harley Quinn into his story, so maybe the Joker's there.

Brian Azzarello is apparently pitching a Joker-centered series, though.

Broken City was meh, I thought. I've heard some conflicting stuff about Man of Steel. I'm thinking about picking up the tpb though.

What if he lives and becomes the next Two-Face? Haven't picked up the 1 year later stories b/c they've been sold out. Decided to start doing holds on them after the increased interest at my comic shop.

The gunshot at point blank range seems to signify the dude's dead.

Although, the Joker has been known to use the gun gag.......so, we'll see.

Well, the Joker looked like he got shot in the head in those pictures in the Grant Morrison thread. He's probably going to live too :D
