Has anyone here ever heard of this OVA series? I'm interested by it and I'm wondering if it's worth it. Any piece of info would be appreciated.

The anime is pretty cool for the fight scenes, but it skips a lot in the story. The anime is actually the third storyline of the manga(they are currently on the seventh or eighth) and volumes 12 to 28. I think they are technically well into the 80's, but I can't tell since they renumbered the series at Steel Ball Run.

Viz is currently releasing the third story of the manga in the US.

Here is a pretty interesting flash of some of the attacks in Jojo. The bottom two are from the third storyline.
