After much speculation, Blizzard will unveil the new Alliance race in its World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade video to be shown for the first time at E3, which begins on Wednesday.

The video, which runs about two minutes, shows off a huge race about the size of Taurens. They have bluish skin (although as with the other races, this could be customizable) and small mindflayer-like tentacles hanging from their chin. They also have a large tail (maybe scaled) and what look like hooves. Having heard nothing official from Blizzard, the race appears to be the Draenei as they appear in their otherworldly realm of Outland. The Draenei (or Lost Ones) that appear in the current game in the Blasted Lands and Swamp of Sorrows are apparently corrupted or fallen versions of the race.

The video shows what looks like a warrior with a sword and shield running through various new areas, which look like they could be areas of Outland. It did not show the class using any spells, so it isn't clear what classes the new race might have.

In talking about the two races, the video shows a representative of the Draenei being introduced in a huge meeting between the kings of the Humans, Dwarves, Gnomes and Night Elves. It also shows the same for the Blood Elves: They are introduced to a war council of the Orcs, Trolls, Taurens and Undead.

The video also showed off the Blood Elves in their home area, which was unveiled at BlizzCon late last year. There are also scenes of the race running through the new areas as well.

Another video on display, also about two minutes long, showed scenes from the new 1.11 patch, which will open up the new Shadow of the Necropolis instance. The video shows the archmage Kel'thuzad making his way into the frozen wastes of Northrend. He comes upon the undead region of crypt walkers and abominations, talking about the horrors, but something forces him to move on. You see him walking very deliberately through massive undead horsemen, abominations and what appear to be bosses. He is finally confronted by cold wraiths, where he gives in to the dark powers of the lich king Ner'zhul. He is brought to his knees, sobbing in his hands.

What follows are some pretty intense battle scenes between Taurens, Undead and these new creatures. There is one boss that looks like an abomination with greenish blood floating through metallic vials. It also shows some pretty impressive floating Scourge ziggarauts, one even floating outside Ironforge.

There isn't much more in the video to give a hint as to what else may be in the instances or if Prince Arthas' relationship with Kel'Thuzad will be explored in some form, but what is here should give WoW players plenty to speculate about until the patch is released.

Stay tuned during the show as we unveil more information as we get it. We will hopefully be able to post the videos when they become available, perhaps as early as Wednesday.

Damn, there go my hopes for Worgen :(

Archimonde paladin?

That makes no sense whatsoever.

Techincally, the race is the wisps that killed Archimonde. They can transform what they are (IE all the buildings in WC3) so them turning into "Eredar" isn't that far fetched.

I actually like the race, I'm just confused how they fit in.

Also, I'm dying to see what their racials are.

That too. You have to pay a subscription right? I'm not so sure I'd want to do that.

So it was Eredar, only with a diffrent name.

And seeing more screens, it just hit me. Their body models are just reskinned taurens with tails.

And their lore is the dumbest I've ever seen in the history of warcraft. I'm still going to play one though.

Their lore isn't so bad, and I actually do like the look of them. Then again, I loved the Taurens. Plus playing an alliance Shaman is going to be pretty fun. Overall I'm looking forward to rolling a Draenei.

Taurens have tails.
