Once again, you hit the proverbial nail on the proverbial head. I dont like the direction this movie is going in, and I'm sure others disagree. Im just trying to put some Baileys in the same old coffee.

It's not the same thread though. It's just taking my title and saying "discuss"

I would not have obvjected to him saying "I dislike this movie, here is why" then in the post outline the reasons. Or he could have made a joke like "What I like about this movie..." and then had a spoiler that read "I like that I won't be seeing it"

It's all in originality my friend :)

I'm so sad... I wanted to like this film. But do you know what I think after seeing the recent footage from the trailer and new documentary?

I am going to LOVE it!!!! That means I'll be going broke from frequent IMAX viewings, various collectors merchandise, the x-box 360 game, and the DVD that will eventually come out. I will be broke because of Singer DAMN YOU SINGER!!!!!!!!!---

They are now chasing me with pitchforks and flamethrowers... I may have to seek the witness relocation program :o I figured we have had enough threads where somebody comes in and says "I'm sure this has been mentioned before..." or "I'm scared of some of the plot elements..." blah blah, if you are that scared get out of the SR forum. I'm just trying to put a little Bailey's in the otherwise old and boring coffee that's been sitting in the same damn spot for months.

He even copied my coffee comment. Here is the original (which I made up that Bailey's quip thank you)

Whoa, I thought I was seeing double for a second. I was like, "wtf?" Haha. Um.

I'm sorry you don't like the film and the direction its going in. I have -some- reservations, but am trying to view the film as an entity unto itself so I don't get bogged down in the details.

It's like AvP. Read the graphic novels, the books, watched the first two movies that I loved . . . and then that garbage with Paul Anderson directing comes and rips my heart out.

It's not pleasant to see something you like perverted or done poorly in your own eyes. It hurts. And it REALLY hurts when you are the minority that's upset. You refer to the source material and tell everyone its all wrong. No one really cares because they were entertained for an hour or so.

But that's life. For once I'm really pleased with where a movie is going with the most important superhero that I've known since I could read. Why? I don't know. I just like what I see, just like you don't. I get what I want, you don't. I'm sorry to say that I got my wish: when I was watching X2, I loved the opening sequence and the fight between Wolverine and Lady Deathstrike. And I wished that Singer could direct the next superman movie. I **** you not. So if you want to blame someone, blame me. :O

Perhaps in another twenty years we'll see something more to your liking, but until then, you'll just have to go along with what you get, unless you could actually make a Superman film yourself. I wouldn't mind seeing many, many interpretations--then you can pick your superman for your mood.

My two cents.

Really? From my point of view, it was a bunch of people agreeing with you that a movie, as has been reiforced by several posters, none of us has seen yet, will be awsome. If you don't like what you have seen from this movie so far than it could go one of two ways, you could see the movie and love it, or the movie might only solidify your previous opinions. This works for those who think the movie looks good so far as well.

I'm not getting pissed about a joke. Just pointing out the double standard that exists within this community and seeing how people would react to it.

Likes:

Bla bla bla etc.

Dislikes:

Bla bla bla etc.

I think that'd be more balanced and decrease all the "hater" "fanboy" "singerboy" namecalling garbage since their thoughts aren't always negative or always postive. Would that work?
