Who do you think is going to teach Aang firebending?
I think we might see the return of Firebender defector Jeong Jeong who tried to teach Aang Firebending (hesistantly) till Aang pretty much screwed it up whne he was horsing around.
The next ep is gonna be pretty light-hearted but it will be the appearance of the Bald, tattoed headed guy who looks to be a hired assassin of a now disgruntled and perhaps paranoid Zuko.

He "learned" how to basically start a flame and then he screwed it up by burning Katara by accident then he swore off Firebending for a good long while. But I don't think he has the leisure of being selective if he wants to face the Fire Lord

Zuko feels the guilt of betraying Iroh and will turn to back to being good COUNT ON IT
Why do you think they keep showing him going to visit his uncle?
Why do you think he kept muttering to himself but I betrayed uncle?
His father and sister are pure EVIL Zuko has never been evil as evidenced by his earliest showings when he said something in the secret war meeting about losing fire nation soldiers and was burned by his own father for it.
I can only point you to the signs they are leaving everywhere showing he will redeem himself and his Uncle who was betrayed by his father and help the Avatar restore peace.

I think the writers screwed up with Zuko. He really should've turned good at the end of last season. He came off as pretty gullible to me to fall for his sister's crap, AGAIN. And wanting the love of the father that killed his mother, the only person in his family other than Iroh that truly loved him and cared about his well being. The second season put Zuko on this great journey where he seems to come to grips with all of this and finally understands it all, then oops, goes back with his sis at the end. LAME.
Even more lame after he goes on his spiritual journey after he's feeling divided and decides he no longer has to be angry and follow the ideals of his father and sister. It was a crappy, contrived, and poorly done reversal.
I wonder what would've happened if they just let Katarra use her healing water on his face.

Its not really known what exactly happend to Zuko's mom TVO. And Zuko has always been on a discontent path. He always wanted wanted to "Prince" Zuko, not the Exiled Prince. His uncle offered him a life that was unappealing to him regardless of how much he loved him. When he tried to make himself comfortable again by being the Blue Spirit, Iroh didn't approve. When he voiced his disliking for the whole Tea House thing, Iroh kinda ignored him.
Basically Zuko, like all teenagers is still trying to FIND himself. He wants his old life back, but he loves his Uncle which is a part of his new life which he utterly disdains. He tries to suck it up for Uncle, but he just can't keep lying to himself.

When he voiced his disliking for the whole Tea House thing, Iroh kinda ignored him.
You can logically infer that's what happened to his mother. They were subtle about it which was good. But season 2 basically had Zuko come to the realization about his mother who was the person in his family who truly cared about him.
Iroh didn't ignore him. He was the one that knew what Zuko was going through and confronted him about it and helped him when he was sick from his divided soul. And it got to a point where Zuko WAS in fact comfortable and content there. He had a spiritual journey where he resolved himself, then they turn around and basically undid that.
Basically Zuko, like all teenagers is still trying to FIND himself. He wants his old life back, but he loves his Uncle which is a part of his new life which he utterly disdains. He tries to suck it up for Uncle, but he just can't keep lying to himself.
This was Zuko at the beginning and first half of season 2. This was not Zuko after everything that happened in season 2 and the writers went back on it.
He didn't seem to disdain his life there so much after a while. He looked like he actually had a decent time with that girl who liked him in Ba Sing Se. After he got over his sickness, he actually seemed happy and eager to be there.

Well he did teach him the lightning style as well but Zuko was to hot headed to master it at that time but he knows the moves and as soon as he is a calmer person he will have it mastered.
But yeh the re-direct style he has just not tested yet and it didn't require the calm out of him the lightning style did.

Team Avatar stumbles upon a Fire Nation fishing village who has their river heavily polluted by a nearby Fire Nation Factory. While Sokka insists on sticking to his plan, Katara is moved by the suffering of the local townsfolk.
The "Painted Lady" suddenly appears, aiding the village by giving them food and healing their sick and eventually with the help of Aang, destroys the Factory which prompts an aggresive response by the Firebenders working/guarding it.
I don't really wann spoil it for you but the Painted Lady is pretty cliche.

Did anyone watch this week's ep? The best episode of the season so far.
Sokka's going to be a badass with that new sword. I have a feeling that there is something special about that meteorite that will come up later on.
Uncle Iroh. What else needs to be said about that badass of a man? Did anyone see his new look? :wow: I am feeling more and more that he will become Aang's fire mentor.
Glad to find out that the lotus blossom society is still in the business of protecting the Avatar. :)
I was wondering why they wouldn't just break the meteor rock into a more manageable size and carry it up, or have Toph float it there, but I realized that Sokka wouldn't know how much of the material he'd need for a sword, nor will they risk exposure by showing off earth-bending so openly. The "push" Toph was doing was more subtle, I guess.
Overall, a VERY good episode.

Great depth and animation for the fight scenes. I really get more pumped watching the sheer visual movements of Avatar fights that the generally draggy fights in most anime.

Well if memory serves...Back in the Spirit Realm, Koh the Face Stealer mentioned that Aang in one of his past lives tried to kill him for stealing the face of that particular Avatar's girlfriend/wife/lover. If I'm not mistakened, it was an Avatar of the Water Tribe which predates Avatar Kyoshi. The history is mentioned somewhere on Wikipedia. Maybe its a matter of whether you WANT to reach the Avatar state or not.
Apparently there was some online game on a Nick site where you play as Aang (who's mind is stuck in his subconscious because of his coma) and he encounters a number of his previous lives.
Another series would be great but I'd like to see the creators work their magic on something else. Since they've mastered the realm of Asian Fantasy they could always try Western SciFi

We know that early in the season, maybe episode 5, it was the winter solstice, around December 22. That means the show starts around early-mid december. We must assume that he is learning the elements during there primary season air-autum water-winter earth-spring, and fire-summer. Water, because of the solstice, is proven. We mut then assume that each season lasts 3 months avatar time. Meaning season 1 would have ended in febuary, season 2 starting in March, and ending in May. Since this is the beggining of Fire, it must be august. That means the characters will only have aged aroun 6 months since the start of the seires, Toph only 3 since she was introduced

Well, it's not totally their fault since I'm sure Avatar has a much bigger production budget and a longer production schedule than the average Japanese anime series these days.
Most of the higher-quality anime is made for the straight-to-DVD market in Japan anyway. The ones actually shown on Japanese TV are mostly reruns or stuff made for younger kids.
But yes, in all honesty, Avatar's production values still look better than at least 75% of the anime out there.

I think they should've left the gaang stuff out and focused on the flaming tempers(working group name). Had a very Breakfast Club vibe, which is cool cause i worship the The Breakfast Club and the dvd shelf it sits on.

i always wanted to see that movie, but never got around to it.
and yeah i agree they should of left out the guy attacking
aang for the next episode.

I thought they incorporated both storylines nicely. This ep kind of reminded me of X-Men Evolution's "Stuff of Villains" or Teen Titans' "Light sPeed". It's nice to catch up with the villains. Even Heroes get tiresome after a while.
I'd be happy to bend any element really. I think water would be my least favorite to bend which is weird cuz I was born under a water sign (cancer) although I suppose it might be fun. It would come in handy when the basement floods.

I feel bad for the hawk. Enemy birds need love too.
and didn't the guy who helped Ty Lee unpack sound like Robin?

That was Robin.
Anyway, I'm watching the episode now & Ty Lee has pretty big boobs for her to only be a Nickelodeon character.

I thought so.
It's nice seeing Ty Lee again. She's a breas..... I mean breath of fresh air.
What? Some one had to do it.

Azula cracked me up this whole episode. Her whole game plan for the volleyball game was hilarious and when she was on the balcony with that Fire Nation guy. It's a good thing Azula know she's a monster.
I'm still not liking the Zuko/Mai realationship. Ty Lee was really cute in this episode too. Those old ladies were pretty funny too.
Aang and co were pretty boring. Could of been cut out. The episodes so far this season all feel like fillers too. Hopefully next week it won't.
Zuko: It smells like old lady in here. :(
Mai: I wonder why.:o

The episodes have been great thus far, not every episode has to show someone being chased by a maniac who is desperately trying to kill them.
Btw, Ty Lee has amazing boobs. Just sayin'.

Hahaha i noticed that too. This was a really funny episode. I kinda hoped Zuko and Mai would break up for good. The action scenes were great too. If Azula were a real person she would be totally hot :o

And scary. :wow:
She'd make a GREAT comic book villain, with her "World domination" thing.

I wouldn't mind dating her if she were real. If you get past her being scary, she'd probably do pretty much anything you want her to do.

Don't worry. If R.Kelly can beat the charges so can we. They had him on tape for god's sake. BTW, they don't act like 13,14,15 year olds.

I'm checking to see if I'm an adult.....hell no so I wouldn't be a child molester since I'm not over 18. Why would I even suggest dating a 14 year old if I were over the age of 18? Start using your brain. :o

It is difficult to decide which element I would chose because I'm not sure to what extent I could control the elements.
 Air - Although, as mentioned, an Airbender can practically fly, their offensive capabilities don't seem that great. This makes sense, seeing as the Air Nomads were pacifists. I don't suppose an Airbender could create a bubble without oxygen around an enemy's head...
:csad: Water - Doesn't seem to be as powerful as Earth or Fire, but there's the added bonus of healing and ice-powers to consider. Too bad it can't heal aging.
:word: Earth - Good offensive, decent range, and many practical applications. The revelation that it works on metal gives it many potential uses in a modern setting.
:cmad: Fire - Burns stuff. I like to watch stuff burn.
And yes, Ty Lee is rather large for a Nickelodeon show. I'd rather think it was not a conscious decision.

you could probably manipulate the air in a person's lungs and kill them. Maybe remove all the air.
