I thought so too. I enjoyed everything about it. The action, the anmation, the story. But the part I really found interesting were the characters. They were very deep and interesting charcters. Very 3D in terms of personality and character. I especially liked Mugen.

Plus I always enjoy realistic action. As much as I loved the Dragonball trilogy and YuYu Hakasho I really love action shows where the characters are human and realistic and their abilities are possible (I mean their skills are still unbelievably good but there not totally out of the range of human possiblity, they don't fly or shoot energy beams, they punch, kick and use weapons). This and Rurouni Kenshin are two of my favorite shows of all time.

I watch it & like it. what i also notice in this series besides the things you stated D-rex was that each epsidoe has a theme to it, to make you you think.
its not really that hard to catch it, but its thier.

Does that squirrel live in Fuu's kimono? It's there sometimes, but it's not in every episode. :confused:

This show is a favorite of mine as well. My favorite character was Jin. This is also one of the few Anime were I really liked the English acting I thought voice acting was done very well for almost every character.

Odin there are 26 episodes in the series. I'm not sure if you can watch it on youtube I'll have to look. If you live here in the States you can catch it on Adult Swim like D.Rex said. If you liked Cowboy Bebop (another great show) you should check this out as they're made by the same guy. Even if you didn't like or didn't see Bebop still Champloo out as it's a great show.

Great series thought the ending could've been a lot better. But at least it leaves a opening for a possible follow up. Maybe with a movie or a 2nd full season.

I loved this series, X-Ray is right the ending coulda been a bit better, but it does look like it could lead off into a second series...at least see Jin and Mugen fight.

What does that mean X-Ray....yer custom title intrigues me.....

That was all I needed to see before I decided to get all the DVDs.

Great show. Some of the best animated fight scenes I've ever seen. Everything was done well. The animation, the plot, the characters, the sound and music, very well done. I really hope they do a season 2 or a movie. Seems unlikely though.

Most definitely a kickass series. I like the approach to it and the animation, it was a breath of fresh air for me a few months ago. Heh, my favorite episode was with the rapping samurai searching for Jin.

i love the show,but why is it that the creator of champloo and cowboy beebop make just a season for both of his shows?

There's been rumors of a Cowboy Bebop comeback. Possibly a prequel, because CB ain't CB without Spike :cool:

And Samurai Champloo leaves a opening for a possible follow-up. So who knows if SC really is a one season thing.

i have to say, samurai champloo is possibly the best anime i've seen in a long while, I haven't been that much into a series since evangelion back in the 90's.

I've only seen the Japanese version of Samurai Champloo but for those of you who watched it in English, I'm curious about something.

There are a few episodes where they use Dutch and English instead of Japanese and I was curious how that was portrayed in the Adult Swim version. The episodes that I'm referring to in particular was the one with the homosexual Dutch man and the Baseball episode.

I was watching it one episode a day or something and then I stopped watching it. I'm rewatching them now and boy I love Mugen.

He gets blown up, nearly drowns and still kills a man in less than a second as if it was nothing. That episode really rocked too :csad::up:
