Hello everyone!
I am new to Shh forum, and spent a lot of time reading through this Official Cyclops/marsden Thread, and have concluded that we need to speak up, and let 20th Century Fox know how we feel. Now we haven't seen the movie, and until then make any Judgement towards Cyclops fate until all of us has scene this movie with our own eyes.
Now with that said, regardless of his fate in X3; I am tired of how his
character has been down-played, and regarded as little more than a person for Wolverine to abuse. Enough. Here is 20th Century Fox Address, and e-mail. WRITE THEM!

E-mail Address: foxmovies@fox.com
Paper Mail Address:

Let the company know how upset you are. No need to be rude or to put people Down, Just voice your opinion on the subject itself, not the names or people involved. The company IMO only cares about money, but Singer, Ratner, the writers, and ALL of the actors are doing their best to make us the fans happy. Believe it or not. Only through positive communication can we have a positive outcome. I know it is too late For us to change X3 now or movies past, but possible future movies may not even include his character if we do not speak up.

I am trying to appeal to all X-Men fans, not just Cyclops fans. Imagine if your favorite character was not done the justice you felt the character deserved. You would appeal to fans like yourself to unite, to speak up for the characters that you love or hate. These characters feed off one another, and make the X-Men who they are; A Team. EVERY, and I mean EVERY X-Men has a purpose to serve, and I would not trade one for the other. I'm asking all of you to understand from the same or a different point of view to help. So please my fellow X-Men fans, speak on behalf your fellow fans and help make the future X-Men Movie one that WE "ALL" in our hearts want to see.

On one last note, I notice that on these boards I rarely see any fellowship, or understanding. Mostly hate or unjustified intolerance of other people and or their opinions. Take a note from the underlining theme in X-Men comics, movies, and the characters you love; Prejudice, hate, and intolerance of any kind is wrong. All people are equal, and all people are unique. You have more to learn from those different than you, then you would learn from those just like you. Respect that, and eachother.

P.S.
I am happy that Halle, and her fans spoke up and Storm is getting the treatment her character should have had from X-Men 1. Cheers!!! :)

I am totally unhappy about Cyclop's treatment, but i dont think writing to Fox will make a damn bit of difference. They saw how outraged Cyclops and non-Cyclops fans were when the AICN script was reviewed, but did they change it......no, because they couldnt give a **** about the true fans and they know the movie will make money.

It depends on how fans react to it.

Like for example (sorry Hulk lovers), Hulk had a mixed reaction, sometimes trashed by the mainstream and fans alike.

But now, looking back, the fans played a huge role in the sequel's development: Arad mentioned on how they want to go with make up instead of CGI (I doubt it though). He also mentioned how he wanted the sequel to be more 'action packed'.

Kinberg stated that he was afraid that Juggs would of been too "Hulkish" (movie version) if he was too big.

Fans can create things...and they can destroy. If people CAN speak up, we can get the upper hand (Christian Bale as Batman)

There are many things I disagree with in X3, and have written about them. Rogue was one of them.

The difference is that they had already invested time and money in putting that version of the script together and it may have been more difficult than we know to make significant changes. :)

Maybe the outcome might have been different if Fox were as aware of the level of support for Cyclops before starting the script for X1.

you guys take this stuff WAY to serously. some countries protest about food or poverty, or worse, and we protest about comic book characters.

We do it because we can. I think a Poverty Thread would be pretty boring anyways.

join the group....of everyone on this board who thinks that they can do that, but in reality unless your name is donner, penn, ratner, or kingberg then you are probobly out of luck, their are about 150,000 X4 screen plays written or in the process of being written and none of them (unless it is one of the four before mentioned people) will get made into a movie, it's good you keep cyclops in your mind when you write the movie, as i'm sure most people do, and let me guess, you probobly have a flying southern belle rouge, and a gambit, a russian colossus and a african storm...awesome

JUST SENT AN EMAIL, I WISH WE WOULD ALL BE SERIOUS ABOUT THIS! HAVE A VOICE: MINE DOESNT ADDRESS THE ISSUE 100% BUT DOES MENTION THEM... HERE IT IS:

Hey guys,

My name is Phoenix Taylor and I live in dallas... i know you are looking for a director still to help helm the WOLVERINE spin-off movie to a level of greatness that fans wont boo and hiss at. Well while watching the movie "Running Scared" with Paul Walker I noticed that the dark over tones, use of shadows, and cinematography was really brilliantly done to capture a "story". The story was never lost of compromised in that film. I talk to those i know in dallas, and on websites and the same thing is agreed... the film was brilliant!

I would like to think that the director (who also wrote the movie) Wayne Kramer.... would be a perfect addition to the WEAPON X movie. This is, of course, unless we can get Bryan back! Cause lets just face it... it is pretty much agreed that X2: Men United, was THE BAR for comic book films!

I am looking forward to a midnight showing of this film on Thurs! Even though I must admit a timidness and uncertainty about Ratner's ability to produce, the run time we are being given, cyclop's death (even though i blame that on James Marsdens level of commitment to the film as well), and Simon's ability to write anything but movies i absolutely hate and laugh at on a regular basis. It seems alot of levels of this movie have been "B" rated and the "A" listers are no where to be found but on the casting.

But I am going to stick behind you guys and give you the benefit of the doubt... I would think that Xmen is as important a franchise to you as it is a story to us (the fans).

Sincerely,
Phoenix Taylor

I just e-mailed the following:

As a fan, I would like to express my disappointment at the treatment of Cyclops in the X-Men franchise and especially his unwarranted and disrespectful death in X-Men The Last Stand.

Please be aware that Cyclops is one of the most popular characters in the comic books and is beloved by moviegoers, too. James Marsden has done a phenomenal job of bringing more humanity and emotion to the character despite having his eyes hidden behind a visor and shades. Rumors have spread that this latest blatant insult to the character, the fans, and this fine actor have stemmed from ill will toward Marsden for appearing in the Superman feature. I truly hope that such a fine and prstigious studio like FOX would not be so petty. Especially since it appears his character's involvement in the other franchise may be limited to this one movie.

I realize that this letter will do nothing to change the outcome of X-Men The Last Stand, however, considering Cyclops's death is not on-camera, the studio could and should bring back Marsden in a larger capacity as Cyclops should there be an X4.

Please believe me when I tell you that we are disappointed at this icon's treatment in the films and would like to see you repair the ill will you have generated among hardcore fans.

I urge you to visit the Cyclops/Marsden thread at the message boards at SuperHeroeHype at: http://www.superherohype.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=198 (http://www.superherohype.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=198)

You will see that it is the most popular thread with the most posts. I believe that in the long run X3 will suffer from the irreverent portrayal of Cyclops among others. I am hopeful that should an X4 be announced, James Marsden will be the first actor to be signed, thus generating a great deal of good will among the fan base that has made this franchise so successful.

Thank you for your time.
