You see, what's really awesome about where I live is that I'm in the most eastern point in North America. We have our own time zone in Newfoundland which means, when I go see X3, I'll be one of the first people on our continent to see the GR trailer.

Next week, Sony Pictures will reveal the new teaser trailer for Mark Steven Johnson's Ghost Rider which will play in theaters with many prints of X-Men: The Last Stand. The official website for the British Board of Film Classification has listed the teaser with a running time of one minute and 23 seconds.

Written and directed by Johnson, the film stars Nicolas Cage, Wes Bentley, Eva Mendes, Matt Long, Sam Elliott, Peter Fonda, Donal Logue, Mathew Wilkinson and Daniel Frederiksen. It is scheduled for a February 16, 2007 release.

Hmm, it's shorter than the comic con footage which makes me think it'll be very different. Yay!

I'm a little concerned about the "many prints of X-Men" line. I'm now very worried that it wont be in the Canadian reels and probably not the ones sent to Newfoundland. I'd be crushed.

This is our teaser to introduce GR to the general public. Later, of course, there will be longer trailers explaining more of the story. But, honestly, I love this teaser and I think you guys will too. As far as I know they're going to be posting the trailer on the official Ghost Rider site after it premieres on X-Men 3. So go see X-Men 3 (which I hear is as good or better than the first two) and see the trailer on the big screen with big sound. The GR site will be revving up soon after, with blogs etc. coming your way, so check it out. I'm knee deep in it, but can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully, it's not the Penance Stare!

the haterzzz on other websites love the fact that there were re-shoots....makes it sound like they were re-fliming the whole movie because it was so bad.

They're not actually reshoots, they're 'additional photography.' Sounds like semantics, I know, but it's not. These are new scenes that I always wanted to shoot but we didn't have the $$ for. Once the studio saw the movie and dug it they gave me the extra cash to shoot an additional fight scene along with some other stuff I always wanted. I always had this image of Ghost Rider lassoing a police helicopter -- couldn't get it out of my head -- and now I finally got it! Won't be in the trailer, of course, because we're still working on it. In fact, the cool thing is, you'll see some amazing things in the trailer but it just scratches the surface of what's in the movie.

Top notch fluidity of animation in there.
I do have some little worries on the trembling of the skull in some scenes, but for this time of postproduction they are really beyond my espectations.

I like all trailer-versions, so far. GR looks a bit "plastic" sometimes, but remember, this is no ordinary skeleton so it should not look like one. And once more: Some really hot shots there, WOW!

In the comics Caretaker was...the father of the original ghost rider, an immortal priest of the descendants of the Spirits of vengeance, a supporting mysterious figure in the second version of Ghost Rider ('90).
This caretaker is similar in the role(supporting), but it seems he was a previous tricked by mephisto western Ghost rider...

With all that burning onscreen, it's too bad they didn't throw the negatives from the film in too.
