View Full Version : Should Jean come back to life...again??

According to various members at thexverse, france cinemas have recieved a special ending in which Jean's grave is seen empty.

If this is true or not, would you like to see Famke come back as the ever powerful Phoenix? Perhaps this is just the oppurtunity to take their time and focus on getting the character right (not that I had a problem with her potrayal, but I know many did).

I personally would love to see her come back, ala Endsong. Have Logan discover her at her grave, alive and kicking, and shes looking for Scott--she knows he's alive. She's totally out of it in the beginning though. Instead of repeating the DP storyline, have her struggling with her immense powers, but no Dark Phoenix. I think her eyes should get all dark at one point but then Scott calms her down so that the Dark Phoenix is still dead.

Of course, Jean never remains dead, ever.

She's also a telepath, so her mind is wandering somewhere until it finds a body.

She has to come back she never stays dead ever and plus i want her to come back as shes one of my favourite X-men.

Wow....iīve seen the movie only 2 days ago, i never in my life did i changed my mind for a movie that quickly.

If all that is true, that there are more than one ending...

When i came out of the theater, i thought that the movie was just ok, 1 day after, i came to the conclusion that it is mediocre at best...after all this, being true that there are 3 or more endings, the movie is just pathetic.

I think they should just forget this movie ever happened, wait 10 years or so, and film a direct sequal to X2 that's decent.

No, Jean has to stay dead. Sorry. If anyone else was to come back (Xavier already has, and Magneto regained his powers) it should be Summers. This is just because we never actually saw him die, and never saw a body, so he'd be the most plausible. And resurecting the Phoenix a 2nd time would take away much of the drama of Movie 3.

I think X4 should take place a few weeks, maybe even days after X3. I understand that it took a while for Jean to heal from the water collapsing on her, but a stab wound?!?! Come on! It should have took her a second to heal and then she could come back!

Jean was never evil in the films, just in a confused state of mind that Magneto totally messed around with. I was upset that she didn't even redeem herself at the end. In the novel, she saved Wolverine from Magneto AND THEN Beast came in with the cure.

Agree. I hope X4 starts with Jean bursting out of the ground. How cool would that be?

The only way I will ever believe Jean to be dead permanently is if she gets her head chopped off.

This is not the same Pheonix as the comics, this pheonix is just Jean's dark side of her pesonality. Not a cosmic entity.

At the end, Wolverine is calling out new students names (Generation X kind of thing), including Sage and Gambit. Other cameos include Bishop, Dani Moonstar, and others ( I forget who)

Also, Rogue's story is a bit different than in the movie. (I liked it a bit better)

Oh and theres a lot more flashbacks, including Jean's early days with the original X-Men.

I know that people says ( most of ) that it would be lame or stupid to bring Jean back... but we have to remember that Phoenix e Phoenix... it won't die... it reborms of it's ashes...

So, if they put Phoenix in the storyline, she will return... but now with the Phoenix under control...

If Xavier is back (and he will be) AND they bring Phoenix back then I will never watch any X-Men movie with even a grain of concern over whether the characters might live or die...and with no danger to an action movie...well...theres no drama...so I dont watch it.

lol, I like the poll : Duh, its Not Xmen withoug Jean. Of cours without any of the characters. Shes healing some how come onnnn where did Scott go? He has to be close by and nonon can't think of X4 without Jean. If there is no Jean Im not watching the film. Its not right. lol and know I have to get used to a Xavier having a twin..????? come on
