Save Darkseid for the 3rd film... It could all build up to him. Luthor, Brainiac and Darkseid are the major badasses of the Supes rogues anyways.

The way Brainiac could sound...is awesome. Created from the advanced Kryptonian crystal tech, an artificial intelliegence building up omnipotent knowledge in space...

The twist is Lex is somewhat responsible for his creation too...so now hes tied to this.

He could be as cold and ruthless as Brainiac of the animated series......and hopefully not Zod's biatch like the sv version.

Doomsday or Darkseid, they need to get to the villains which are worthy of the man of steel rather than pussy footing around like Xmen and not giving us Apocalypse.

Lex is to Superman as Green Goblin was to Spiderman in the first movie. Rather than Goblin, or simply Goblin alone, they should have started with Doc Ock.

He was nothing more than a plot device in the comics to kill off Superman and the comic writers even acknowledged that.

Brainiac and Darkseid are the way to go.

Darkseid could even have a young Kryptonian survivor child (Kara Zor-El) as his hostage....and he uses that to manipulate Superman.

Darkseid could be partially responsible for the destruction of Krypton.....not the outright desturction, but maybe an attack on the planet could have left caused the eventual destruction.

And I would love to see Braniac be like the ruthless Animated Series version.

If the X-men trilogy is an indication, Lex Luthor will be around in all 3 films.

I imagine it might look like a Magneto situation.

SR- Lex is the main villain.

SM2- Sounds like Brianiac is coming. Luthor again (since he's stranded on an island) could be a co-villain or just have a smaller role then the main villain.

S3- Even though Singer didn't do X3, I imagine Magneto would again been in it in some fashion (and why not, Ian McKellen is amazing in that role). That arc wasn't completed for Mags, so possibly Luthor could be involved once again to try and finish the job he started.


I KNOW that it isn't the most popular idea, but Singer is big on character developement and it extends through multiple films. I honestly believe it will be Luthor, Brainiac, Luthor.

Ya, that would be too much of a blantant ripoff of Terminator for the film though.

I also agree that the movie Brainiac should resemble STAS (since his backstory is somewhat similar with one twist...)

Lex was responsible for his creation....meaning it'd be cool for Brainiac to travel to Earth to seek Lex Luthor out (perhaps to evaluate his purpose)....like Professor Ivo's Robot in JLU "The Return"

Theres also the possibility that the entire planet Krypton may have been recreated in space (those who read the novel came to this conclusion in that thread) and Brainiac is at the core of this crystal based world. He could use holographic imagery to make it seem like there are survivors and the planet is alive.....all to lure Kal-El.

Brainiac does have something Kal-El wants; all the memories and knowledge of everything Krypton once was, stored within him....

I love that version of Brainiac. Thats how I want it in the movie. Obviously it will look more Crystal-like though, but a cold blooded machine with an awesome voice actor.
