View Full Version : Superman Returns car takes 3rd!

The Monaco Grand Prix just finished and David Coulthard who was racing in the Superman Returns car came third which was a great result.

He wore a Supes cape on the podium and Kevin Spacey, Brandon Routh and Kate Bosworth were at the SR stand as well. This is HUGE for SR outside of the US as the Grand Prix is watched by millions!

Amazing. This has got to be a first for a superhero movie, or any movie for that matter. WB is pulling out all the stops for this one, which is great.

Kate looks SOOOOO HOT.

I'm wondering what the F1 team are thinking though, walking around in those capes. Other F1 teams must be having a bit of a laugh.

Yes, I too saw the race today, after a long time. The cars had the S on the front and Superman Returns was written on the back. Amazingly, David Coulthard made his first podium appearance in 2 years, not bad at all.

Hehe, Coulthard in the podium wearing a cape... that was cool! And yet sooo cheesy! :D
Funny thing is, Red Bull rarely gets good results and just when they are promoting this movie, they get to the podium for the first time in a loooong time... interesting, hum? ;)

And I don't know about you guys, but here, the commentators kept making puns about the movie... this was a good move by WB, mixed with A LOT of luck.

well i did say the SR-inspired jumpsuits were cool, but the red cape makes them look awkward (and judging by his body language he sure feels it) :O :D
