Alright, My brother told me that he read a report that Devastator is going to be a tank or some crap in the movie?? Has this been confirmed ? and so does this mean there are no constructacons? that would piss me off big time. sorry if this has already been discussed but i dont frequent the transformers board as much as i would like.

Devastator is a false name for one of the Decepticons in the movie. It's just a name for the script so we don't know who they're really using.

But yeah, like Frenzy said, the vast majority of the names used in the script are place-holders so nobody knows who the characters will really be.

Based on the set pics, it doesn't look like they're actually placeholder names, seeing as Bonecrusher has his name stamped right on him.

Not really true. I mean if they have a tank called devastator in the first transformers movie and then in transformers 4 they have all six constructicons appear in a brutal ten minute fight scene and halfway though the action they transform into a giant transformer who was essentially in every respect the devastator we all know and love except he is called Eliminator, would most of us really care? I mean as long as he turns up in some form and gets a memorable role in the franchise then what does it matter if the name is not correct.
If they feature a cool evil decepticon called Recoil who transforms between robot, plane and tank then i will personally know that it is in fact blitzwing and as long as he doesn`t get his ass handed to him by shia leboef and an air rifle then i will be perrfectly happy.
It would be easier if they used all the actual names but in reality it was always likely they were going to change someof the names a little as even within the cartoons and toylines names were swapped and changed all over the place. As long as they characters are treated with respect then they could call blitzwing mac daddy bebop for all i care.lol.

Most believe Devastator is actually gonna be Megatron in the movie,im not so sure but really we don't know for sure
