Wolverine is in far too many titles at the moment

eh, that first issue kind of sucked, I have no interest
Dillon's art isn't my cup of tea, especially for this title.

what else have you read with him, GNR?

Wolverine is in far too many titles at the moment
This is a definitive tagline that should appear on every comic that marvel releases!
what else have you read with him, GNR?
I've read my friend's trades of Preacher and Punisher.I didn't have a problem with this art there at all.For me,his art doesn't suit these types of "epic" super hero tales such as Wolverine Origins or even the Ultimates Annual from last year.

He's currently in 3.Even in New Avengers,he's been nothing but a sitting duck except for the Annual.

He's on more than 3 if you count each squad of X-Men as a team, which I think is reasonable given that most of the other characters appear only on one book's squad.

I dont get why he needs an ongoing to tell this other than sales. Im betting you could do all of Wolverines Origins in a 12 issue maxi series.

How many times has Wolverine's Origin been updated... I'm sure it's been quite a few times. It will never end.

Oops, left out Astonishing.Does he still frequent in Adjectiveless and Uncanny?

Exactly.
Marvel was real sneaky in promoting the Origins and Endings arc.I should know since I was a vicitm of this. When solicits first came out,it was stated that this arc would reveal Wolvie's origins and finally give him the answers he wanted.Then,3 issues into O and E,Marvel announces a second Wolvie ongoing which will fully explain his origin.Sneaky bastards.

Yeah, I fell for O and E too. When that revealed, oh, nothing at all, I decided to stay far, far away for Wolverine Origins. It's really sad because that was one of the very few cool things to come from House of M

Wolverine stars in Astonishing X-Men, Ultimate X-Men, New Avengers, Wolverine, and Wolverine: Origins. They took Wolverine out of X-Men and Uncanny X-Men.

Ultimate Wolvie don't count. That's a whole different ball of wax.
What I woulda done is put Origins into the regular Wolvie title and his other adventures could be in all those other books.

Greedy corporate motives at it's worst.
I'm suprised Marvel didn't start a 'Teen Wolverine' series ala 'Spidey loves Mary Jane' or 'Franklin Richards: Son of a Genius!'
* Wolvey loves Jeaney
* James Howlett: Son of a Abusive Gardener!

But I mean I read the second, I haven't learned Wolverines Origins yet!

I get the feeling 'Wolverine: Origins' is nothing more than a way to milk more cash off us and in the end the story will amount to nothing just like 'Origin' all it did was give Wolverine a civilian name and tie down his place and period of birth.
It's all a scam, string us along and add crap that will only be forgotten or reconted when some high-profile creative team say..?(Jim Lee returns to Marvel and Bendis get's an itch.) Then it's all for naught, cause a writer can just say, Origins by Paul Jenkins was another memory implant.

I'd put money on it if Frank Miller and James O'Barr decided to go exclusive with Marvel only if they get to work on the 'true origin' of Wolverine and wipe everything that came before away Marvel would jump on the oppurtunity quicker than Bobby Brown at a cocaine testing party.

Well, yes, he could draw... badly. "Liefeld during _________ days" and Liefeld during his present days doesn't really mean much of anything. The guy continually refuses to let the slightest bit of growth or refinement worm its way into his art.

I actually agree....his Wolverine looks like his Punisher in a wolverine suit. I don't know, his art seems too 'samey', for lack of a better word, and lacks visual punch and flourish for a title like this. Just my opinion though.

Just out of curiosity, did anyone actually listen to this interview? I haven't been able to (not even sure I want to), and I was curious if he actually revealed any of his five year plan.
I'm alright with Dillon's art. I really liked his Ultimates Annual feature, and his Nighthawk mini. But I would agree that this title is a bit of a yawner and is another example of something they should've done in the main title (sub-plots anyone?)
