The Camaro variants belong to the lead character (Sam), who doesn’t know that his beloved car is, actually, a Transformer (Autobot) named Bumblebee.

We’ll see Sam finding & buying this car with his father, and follow him as he comes to realize there’s more to this humble vehicle than meets the eye. Said revelation will involve Sam in a battle between Autobots and Decepticons for possession of the precious Energon Cube – an object of unknown origin whose life force created the Autobots. The Energon Cube has been “lost to the limitless stars”, and arrives…by simple, elegant chance…here on Earth.

Bumblebee eventually has it out with a Decepticon named Brawl (the black police car linked below).

The Osprey aircraft are specified in a sequence set in Qatar, in which the U.S. military (ground troops, aerial) takes on a Decepticon named Skroponok in an epic battle.

Here’s another tidbit from a source, about Vortex – a transforming helicopter: “When the chopper lands in the film, it will have a CG cockpit that will have an entire crew inside of it. It will flicker out revealing that the chopper is, in fact empty - and "Vortex" will transform for the first time.”

Finally, I’m guessing the tank pictures are Devastator – a Tank Decepticon who wreaks havoc in the big-ass giant robot brawl late in the film

OH! For those Talkbackers wondering about Megatron in this movie...Megatron is a JET in this draft of the script. There are indications that certain Transformers' names and/or "identities" may have/might still change, so I suppose there's a chance this might not stick. And, Optimus is a truck.

Understood. I was only speaking for my area. And even that I don't mean is absolute.

Maybe this kid is the exception to the rule of street racer types.it's like in my country footballers drive Ferrari's and Aston's which brings their image down in some ppl's eyes but not everyone driving them is an austentatious type

Why did they need a car a teen would want though? I think its more interesting if Bumblebee is a car the teen wouldn't expect to want at first. Especially since a Beetle VW is cheap and affordable.

Well why not have the car be a model that the kid actually wants ? i mean i honestly don't see the harm in this,it's like they took Bumblebee and added a bit of hot rod in with him

Oh well if it isn't of interest to you then not much i can say,it seems as if he buys an old broken down camaro and builds it up into the more flashy one we see which will develop their relationship nicely IMO

Seriously. I mean, when you're a teenager you want ANY car. My first car was a 6 year old Nissan Sentra. And I LOVED that car. I knew only one guy in high school who rode a muscle car... and he was, of course, the classic dumb "jock".... and, sadly, he really was an a**hole. Even his friends hated him.

Again, only the guy I linked to in my previous post would whine and insist that his daddy buy him a speed racer. On my block, guys like that get laughed at.

Things are probably different on the West Coast where Bay makes his home, I assume.

Starscream may be a chopper im not sure,i think the tank is Devastator

It kind of weird to make Starscream a copter whereas he could of been easily a jet. To me, it doesn't matter. At the sametime, I'm conflicted b/c it seems like they're changing certain things for no reason.

From what I know, Vortex is a copter. I think, if they do it right, they can make Vortex "Soundwave". Michael Bay himself have stated that some characters will go though name changes and that the script is outdated. However, is he trustworthy?

I understood Bumblebee because VW doesn't want to be involved. Fine.

To me a Comaro is the closest thing to the look Bumblebee should have next to a bug. But since VW won't let it be used. They go to the closest thing. It's still yellow. And we have much bigger things to worry about.

The Devastator was several different Constructicon/Decepticon transformers. They all transformed together to form the Devastator which was when the Decepticons would whip out the big guns.

If I remember correctly, the Dino-bots were created to help match against the Devastator and Constructicons.

IMO if they can get the right coloration on the jet and get Mark Hamil to do the voice they are set.

Mark Hamil is the only guy I can think of that could fill in for Chris Latta, who was the original voice of Starscream /Cobra Commander… among the MANY other characters he did. Sadly he died in 1994.

Wow....Bumblebe is a Camaro....? Cool. I love the Camaro Concept, so this is fine by me. I'm a die-hard Camaro fan/owner, so this is cool to me. Still wish they could have kept everything true to the originals, but this'll do just fine with me.
