i don't like any of those choices, Fishburne is the best but A. probobly to old, and B probobly to big a name

i think depending on how big a role bishop is, i think Tyson Beckford (known more for his modelling but he is on ripped mammoth man, and could easily kick ass on screen) could play him, but if he has to carry some wieghty dialouge like Bishop might have to i would be opposed to that

i also think Terry Crews could play a solid bishop, known more for his comedy (which, situational, he is pretty good at it) but he again is ripped and looks angry all the time, and has the voice remeniscent of TAS Bishop

and again, the wieghty dialouge could become an issue, but who's to say ether of them can't deliver a Intensely charged speech

Keith Hamilton Cobb, he definitely has the physical presence as well as the talent to carry the part of Bishop.

I perfer Dreads, but bald is cool too

Ving Rahmes is probobly to big of a name to add to an already cramped ensemble (obviously the big names of Jackmen, Mckellen, Stewart, and Berry will have significantly less screen time probobly, they are still there, plus gambits role has to be added, and the growing roles of shadowcat and iceman)

If Will Smith is Bishop this will be the first xmen related anything that i will boycott, but again i have no worries about that, there is no chance

who is this guy Keith Colb? that is in all of these pictures, some one wrote he is talented i would like to see some work he has done

Jesse L. Martin would do a good Job, and please leave the Age fact aside, Black folks age well, who would have tought of a 40 year old woman to portray storm?? addazactly!! so why not a 36 year old man for Bishop. as far as the Hair do, I think bald Bishop or Short hair bishop would be better ( in my personal opinion) but I am cool if they made him with the dreads, so long they make him am cool.

i think he would be good as bishop, but quite a pipe dream because he would be like getting Johnny Depp to play Gambit, and Aaron Eckhart to play Cyclops, and like...i dunno some one else big to play like the White Queen...Uma Thurman say, at some point the movie is just going to get to crowded with names of people who where sweet in other movies and you will be saying " man Johnny Depp is sweet as Gambit" instead of, "man Gambit kicks ass" same would go for Rhames, great actor and his role in Dawn of the Dead, is very similar to what bishop would be like, but i think the backfield might be getting a little crowded for an actor of his talents

he is native australian, otherwise known as aboriginal. and australapoid is as different a race as negroid is to caucasoid.
actually, the guy from Stargate is closer to being the correecxt race, as polynesian is believed to be the result of breeding between mongoloid(chinese, japanese, taiwanese...what we used to call oriental) and australapoid races

Im not norrow minded at all. Im just making the point that actors that are of a close ethnic background shouldnt be discounted because they are not of the wrong ethnic background. all smells of "well, they all look the same", which, fyi, australian natives dont.

Anyways for your 411 I have read 3 diferent Origins of Bishop and all of them from Official Marvel sources including his creator Whilce Portacio. I am not going to sit here and play the fool when Marvel itself has given 2 diferent "oficial" explantions and after all they have not been confirmed, you can check the Marvel 'Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe' also there is an official series of cards from Marvel that state that he is of American nationality but of Filipino ethnicity, which is very posible since Bishop's creator is himself half Filipino.

Thats cos bishops a drawing.( I genuinly attribute it to "they all look the same, who will know", which is damn insulting..and all the more reason, IMO, that of Bishop ever does get on the screen, that they should make an effort to find a suitable actor of aboriginal australian background, even if they end up with some one more polynesian in appearance like the guy that was posted earlier in this thread)

Keith Hamilton Cobb is who I'd cast as Bishop.

Bishop is a big guy, a bruiser, not a martial artist, so to me someone like Mike Jai White (who should've been the new Blade), is all wrong.

Cobb is a chisled 6'5", and a trained stage actor, possessing the screen presence and voice to pull off Bishop as though he were ripped from the comics. There's simply no other known choice, in my mind.
