Whoa!! That is awesome Bale won & he get to meet Routh. I can't believe how tall Routh is. It appear Routh is either 6' 4" or 6' 5", since Bale is 6' 2". I smell a World's Finest movie coming there. Or at least the 2 of them meeting is the cloest we can get for the WF. ;)

I thought this was pretty cool...

On a much lighter note, cast members Brandon Routh, Kevin Spacey and Kate Bosworth of the upcoming "Superman Returns" presented the award of "best hero" to Christian Bale, star of last year's hit "Batman Begins."

After thanking director Christopher Nolan "for getting rid of those bloody nipples" on the bat suit worn by George Clooney in Batman and Robin," Bale turned to Routh and said, "I'm sorry Superman, but Batman is the bada**."

Bale also paid tribute to his wife who he called "my personal Wonder Woman" then thanked the fans "for embracing the rebirth of Batman. There will be more!"

Besides, If anything he reminded me of smallville's version of Clark Kent .

Anakin skywalker was written better in episode III, than Episode II .

anyway. I do agree he wasn't as annoying in III as in II(which is basically unwatchable) Though all his scenes with Padme in III were pretty unbearable. Except maybe one.

whoa......what?

sweet....****ing sweet.

That's the interesting thing too.....Bale's personality seems to suit Batman.....and Routh's seems to fit Superman.

I saw an interview where Routh was asked if he'd be cool with a WF movie, and he says yeah as long as Batman and Superman fight for a better tomorrow together joining forces to fight as a team blah blaha blah blah.

That's something Superman would say!

And I'm pretty sure Bale would say, "Batman pwns Superman" so you see.......it's kinda cool how they kinda fit their roles like that.

That'd be tough.......2 visonary directors to have to join forces...

CConn
06-05-2006, 02:42 PM
They probably wouldn't co-direct simply because they'd both be thrown out of the Director's Guild.

EDIT: Actually, it's impossible that they could co-direct. WB isn't allowed to finance non-Guild directors, and like I said, if you co-direct, you're out of the Guild.

All you have to do is find a director who can sort of handle, and merge the contrasting styles of Batman and Superman. Not an easy thing to do, I'm sure, but not impossible.

ChrisBaleBatman
06-05-2006, 02:43 PM
Yeah.....but getting both actors together, instead of working on the solo franchise.....that's another toughie.

VaderRISE
06-05-2006, 03:01 PM
This is why the directors guild sucks. :(

Anyway, making a WF movie would be tough in and of itself. Begins was a success, it's sequels will probably be as well. Superman is pretty much already a block buster and it's not even out yet.

Putting a new director on a Superman/Batman project that would probably already have several successful films out would be very...very risky. As much as I want to to happen, I almost hope it doesn't because of the risks.

CConn
06-05-2006, 03:46 PM
They sure do. Mother****ers.

Well, you know the Batman and Superman series will be continuing after Nolan and Singer, so we'll be running the risk anyway. I just hope WB never rush things. Whenever a studio rushes things, or tells people what to do, or really does anything but give money away it's a bad idea.

Yeah, her face has a plasticky look to it. Like those chick's who get crazy plastic surgery done. Although in Bosworth's case its not surgery - most likely lighting and makeup is what's making her look like that.

She promote Revlon makeup, you know? I seen her commerical for it & seen some of her face on the ads. That probably why she has too much makeup. ;)

And you KNOW that there was probably a WB exec or two watching that moment, just to make sure the SR publicity machine is moving, and seeing Superman and Batman together on the same stage probably just gave them an extra case of the $yndrome. I loved that. "Give the Dark Knight back some dignity." Joel Schmuacker probably was sitting in a barka-lounger eating Top Ramen scratching himself, then suddenly heard that, and did a spit take.

When I heard the Batman is the badass remark I think of this.

Somewhere on New Earth in front of a SuperDuper TV.
"Did he just say I'm not the most badass superhero?"
"Yes, Clark. Yes, he did."
"I'm going to go cry next the giant T-Rex."
"Yeah, you do that."

In non-watermarked pics, it looked like a wrap you'd put on a sprain, maybe he injured his wrist? Definitely thinner than a cast, but still offering support. My guess is a wrist brace and/or splint, kind of like this (http://www.muellersportsmed.com/wristbracewithsplint.htm), that would provide semi-fixed support.
