Well, as annoying as some celebrities can be, I don't really hate them. It's against my principles of personal harmony to dwell on negative emotions for very long. I tend to think of positive happy thoughts about life in general, like what my next IRS refund purchases will be. I mean how could I not with a wonderful stress reliever like the Monster Hunter series to play on my Wii and forthcomingly on the PSP? There's nothing more satisfying than slaying a monster to let off some steam. That said any celebrities that are egregiously pervasive in pop culture I tend to ignore, like the cast of Jersey Shore or Justin Bieber.

Whilst fame inevitably brings jealousy out in many people, not everyone who has dislike or hate for a celebrity is a "hater".

"Hater" being derived from the term "Playa Hater". Meaning to be jealous of someone's accomplishments and possessions/traits, without trying to acquire them or better one's self to the level desired. I dislike the idea that if you have any negative feelings towards a celeb, you're a hater. It's dumb.

I used to dislike a lot of celebrities, but now I just hate celebrity as a status. I have more hatred for the people who make Jersey Shore cast members into celebrities than the cast members themselves.

They're just idiots who wanna be rich and famous for as little effort as possible, so they're milking their five minutes for all they're worth. I can't dislike them for that, because I'm sure they don't actually feel they're doing anything worthwhile.

The people that put them there? Yeah, we're not friends.

As for the Kardashians, I don't think many people could make legitimately good arguments for Kim being unattractive, but we all have different taste. Paris Hilton just looks like she has permanent conjunctivitis.

Beiber just annoys me. It's actually cool that his fame was a grassroots effort, not some Nick or Disney-generated tween star. He was discovered on YouTube, that in itself is amazing. But his former hair style annoys me, as well as his singing.

As for people hating on celebrities, it's our public perception of them, like Angelina Jolie (we never know them on a personal level). Unfortunate druggies like Charlie Sheen just air their dirty laundry for the world to see, or vain 'stars' like the Kardashians and Heidi Montag who have their own reality shows.
