I know some fans are opposed to this but i truly feel GAMBIT has a place in this film and let me explain why.

Firstly there isnt much hope at all for a gambit spinoff and the Wolverine movie is a perfect way to introduce this character. Gambit is Canadian as well, so theres more of a reason to show up in a film about Wolverine wandering all over canada searching for his past.

Secondly, there are less characters in a spinoff than another x men ensemble, and this is a great opportunity to get gambit a lot of screentime and development, which may tie in with whatever they have in store for an x men 4 (which i doubt will occur for a VERY long time)

It just makes sense. With how the film universe never had an appropriate place to put Gambit, this one screams out. I dont know why fans think they can wait forever. They need to get started on Gambit.

Well from a more movie minded fan this is an opportunity.

Another idea is to just make him canadian and simplify it all. Just get him in there and counted for imo. A new x men film is just gonna have gambit appear in xaviers mansion out of nowhere. Boring. Plus x4 is like 10 years away? lol

Dude I use to love Gambit. He was such a baddass but I swear I cant stand him now. So much fanboy ranting, its f-ing ridiculous. Just because it is possible for them to make him canadian just so hey can out him in this movie does not mean they should. I mean if they were going to do him wouldnt you want them to do him the right way. There is no reason for him to be in this movie. He has no bearing on Wolverines past and it should stay this way.

Well how i see it fans should just enjoy waiting and stop complaining if they wont take up opportunities, even if my other idea was a Cajun traveller to Canada ;) Theres hardly "perfect waves" in films like this, not anytime soon. Its why Rogue happened to go to canada to run away and met logan. Personally i really dont care either way.

Gambit could stay on comic pages forever as long as the films made are quality. Was a simple idea by a bystander that knows how films might integrate misc characters. Thats all.

depending on the timeline they using, I’d kind of like to see him working with Steve Rogers (Captain America), in the war, it could even just be a flash back. he wouldn't have to be the suit or anything, but, having him work with a solider name Steve Rogers would be enough of a cameos reference

I do not want any other cross comics cameos or starring roles to ever appear in another established movieverse. Captain America belongs to Paramount anyways. That made the comics and the cartoons corny for me. Having the Human Torch with Spider-Man or Captain America with the X-Men, etc...It is ok in the comic books but to do that on film would ruin it and kill the universe that the film makers have established. And if they did a cameo...no suit/powers, that would piss of Captain America fans and we would hear about it on here. I say just stick with the certain comic world you are making. I will get up and leave in Spider-Man ever comes to Beast to help him with his power/mutation situation.

Lol. I don't think the movieverse for now with the movies done for the characters allow a cross over to be done good, cameo or not. Maybe, but I don't know. It's not like FF knows about Spider-Man to make a reference that he was in there timeline like how Dr. Strange was mentioned in Spider-Man 2. I'm probably not making sense. I'll stay shut lol.

I just had this really funny image in my head. Stan Lee is playing a guy working for Weapon X, he is doing a test on Wolverine, He says to the guy next to him "You know, I could write a book about this guy!" then the guy replies "This is top secret ya' old fart" then he slaps Stan Lee in the head and Stan replies "Your making me angry, you wont like Stan The Man when he's angry :hulk: ".

I agree Stan "The Man" should have a cameo, he is the greatest part of all the marvel movies.

I was gonna vote for Silver Samurai, but then I thought that he should have a little bigger part than just a cameo...I think he should have a supporting role similar to that of Juggernaut in X3. I remember reading somewhere that Ken Watanabe from The Last Samurai was in talks to play him? But for now my absolute favorite choice for a cameo would be Deadpool. Not only should he have a cameo he should have his own freakin movie.

Why do people want Gambit in a Wolverine movie?

How about a young Magneto? Young Magneto like the boy in the opening scene of X-Men 1. It could just be a brief cameo.

It could be a flashback scene happening in World War 2 wherein Logan is a Canadian paratrooper and he's ordered along with u.s. soldiers to liberate a camp and tadda...a young Eric Lensherr just happend to be one of the prisoners in the camp and Logan helped liberate him. Steve Rogers (Yep, Cap. America) can be 1 of the u.s. soldiers or just a mention of him will do.

I thought of this scene so casual movie-goers now will understand why in the X-Men movies Magneto didn't rip apart Wolvie when he had the chance. So this scene will show why Magneto couldn't do that 'coz Eric owes Logan although there were no hints of this in the X-Men movies.

Ofcourse, I also like to see other baddies like Sabretooth, Juggernaut, Deadpool and other X-Men heroes.

I'm not bothered about Deadpool. And no background between Deathstrike or Juggernaut was ever hinted at in the movies, so they're out if the Wolverine movie is a prequel. Omega Red is a little too like Doctor Octopus and was sort of incorporated into X3's Spike (whose spikes emerged from his wrist like Omega's coils).

Silver Fox and Sabretooth would be okay... there was a hint of a backstory with Sabretooth in X1. Comicbook Sabretooth killed Wolverine's lover Silver Fox, so that would fit in.

Members of Alpha Flight would also work -- my own favourite is Snowbird, whose animalistic shapeshifting powers would look great in a movie, particularly if she changed into a white sabretooth to fight (and defeat) Sabretooth...

Also, perhaps Gambit. Instead of Silver Samurai. Samurai charges his sword and anything else metallic with destructive energy... so does Gambit. In the X1 prequel, Samurai charges Wolverine's metal skeleton.. Replace Samurai with Gambit and put this in the movie...

I put Sabertooth because the first movie kinda butchered their whole connection. I mean I understand how they can meet in a different place and setting as the X-Movies universe is different than the comics, but just the fact that Sabertooth is to Wolverine what Venom is to Spiderman. Both are stronger, faster versions of the origional (tho sabes came from DD comics), and they mess with the hero on more of a psychological way, then ultimately get beat thru sure persistence and will than brute force.

I wouldn't mind Deadpool but my problem is that he would fit better as a small cameo then lead into a spin off, and maybe a funny side-kick at best. Deadpool is funny but occasionally dark, Wolverine is most likely going to be a serious dark style. Deadpool my be played a bit more serious, or be too much a villain in normal fans eyes to the point they wouldn't want to see a spin off of him (despite how much comic fans like him, not sure how far Deadpool's fanbase could carry his movie). I'd also like to see Omega Red.

One thing that might work tho is Kitty Pryde being upset over Iceman and Rogue hooking back up in the last movie, and her stowing away in Logan's truck and getting mixed up in it. Jubilee was in the first two but two different actresses, and obviously not enough to get a line in so they prob don't care. Wolverine has trained Kitty tho, and would make sense to bring her in as a side kick. Ya tho, Sabertooth as the intro villain, Omega Red as the main, and maybe another Deathstryke (since the movies are differnt, and as a lead in) who can be made in a similar way to Omega from one of Wolverine's old girlfriends in some way linking to Weapon X. Also would like to see Maveric, maybe like a war buddy type who was experimented like Logan (like in the comics), but have him instantly recognizing Logan but Logan not recognizing him til near the end maybe when they kill Marveric or something motivating Wolverine to fight more. Poorly put together, but u get the just of what I mean I hope.

Since this a prequel I want Sabretooth and Stryker to start it off. Magneto can cameo. And the main bad guy should be Omega Red but Sabretooth and Stryker should be secondary villains.
