I wouldn't say. They actually have used very rare and not talked about diseases. Like TTP(Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura) which is actually a disease my father has. granted they said it was curable on the show(which is what they thought over ten years ago the first time he got it) but the treatment was the same. Though it's a deadly disease. I believe 3 in 3 million get it.

Some producers at Fox are really trying to get on Singer's back about forcing a bit more action into the show apparantly.
The ywant to see House get into a pretty big fight, and even came up with a scenario of House going to his hospital in one episode and two thugs charge the place in looking for a particular doctor that apparantly treated their now dead brother and they want revenge, but House stops the clean cold with his cane and beats them up. Like using the walking stick as a pipe almost and just smashing away and using various "moves" he's learned over the years to beat up the guys
They want more hip action scenes like that thrown in for good measure it hink it'll do the show soem good

that's what i had heard on radio that studio execs were pitching for that at lower level meetings to spice up the show a little even though the show itself is great. If anything it's just Fox people picking on Singer for effing Supes and its BO results.
The show itself is brilliant and I love how much of an ass House is with his smart comments. I had really hoped he was cast as Perry White instead of that other guy Frank Langella.

What I got from it is this:
He had the guitar since he was 8, and was used as a point by Wilson saying that he never changes. Or that he doesn't like change. So with all his team gone, his buying a new guitar symbolised the change in his life/work and that it's a new beginning.
But I hope it's not like this for too long, didn't really care that Foreman left but all of them gone just seems wrong.

According to Omar Epps:
Forman will be back next season
The scenerio is probably similiar the Vogler character situation. They introduced him, painted him the really bad guy, he reigned tyrannically for a bit, then he got ousted and everything went back to normal.
That's a common occurance in House. Shake things up a bit and then let them fall back into normality.

This season finale felt like it really should have been a series finale. It will just be weird if everybody just ends up coming back next season.

Part of the show's dynamic is the interesting cast. Chase is the kissass, Foreman is the rebel, and Cameron is in the middle, with her allegiance shifting every once in a while.
Mrh7448
06-01-2007, 10:19 PM
I just feel like the three of them have played out and now that they've quit/been fired bringing them back would be a bit weird to me. Plus none of them seem like they would be interested in coming back especially to work with House. Though I could see Cameron and Chase in a different departments at the hospital.
I'd be okay with bringing a new cast in as long as they have a good dynamic going, but I do think it would be interesting to see how House deals with being on his own even if it's just for a few episodes.
Like I said this really felt like it should have been a series ender.

No to mention that their department deals with ruling out medical problems to discover the true problem. Akin to Holmes's "if you rule out the impossible, whatever is remaining, however illogical, is most likely the cause" or something like that. Question. Well, I saw a promo and he had a bunch of newbies that were basically going thorugh "try-outs." Should be fun to watch.

Seasons 1 and 2 were great. Each week's medical mystery was cool and Dr. House was hilarious. But at the end of season 2, they started trying to be "shocking" and have "big" things happen to the characters. But the "big" changes were always resolved in one or two episodes, which made the twists feel cheap. Season 3 was even worse about this, and the cheap twists took attention away from the medical mysteries. Then everyone quit at the end.
Hugh Laurie is still great and House is still a great character, but I don't have a lot of hope for season 4.
SolidSnakeMGS
09-11-2007, 05:51 PM
I sorta agree with you, Max Power, even though I think I hold season 3 in higher regard. There's the one ep where House dreams he's a soldier, and then suddenly Cutty bursts into the room with a file on a patient that was JUST in his dream, despite the fact that he actually saw this person in real life...2 years ago!
Anyway, I heard that a lot of S4 (or at least the beginning of it) will be House firing the new hires, which is supposed to be like 40 of them. I guess we get to see new and interesting ways for House to fire people.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v113/Vegenom/Smilies/lol.gif
I've been torrenting for years now and nothing has come about from it. I tend to stay away from movies, but I've seen so many shows I wouldn't have normally watched because of it.
For a short explaination and guide, click the spoiler.
Torrents have a kind of loophole to them. Websites are allowed to host torrent files because they aren't actually the movie or show or whatever that they have in their name. They are tiny files that connect you to other people who've downloaded the torrent and with the person who upped it. The person who upped it, has the real files you're looking for.
So all you really do is:
1: Download and install a Bit Torrent Client (Azureus (probably the best) will also need you to download Java Runtime Evironment 5 first)
2: Go to a Torrent site, e.g Mininova
3: Search for your torrent, House Season 3
4: Find one with a good amount of seeds and leechers
http://www.mininova.org/tor/728856
Seeds are those who've downloaded the entire thing and are just sharing, leechers are those who are people anywhere between 0% to 99% complete. With Torrenting, the idea is that you upload as much as you download. So that you have a download/share ratio of at least 1.0.
5: Download Torrent, and decide which episodes you want. You can download one at a time, which is better, that way you can watch an episode, then seed it, then download the next one, etc.

Now, with all that said, Torrenting really isn't worth it if you don't have a decent broadband connection with an uncapped service. That's why I've had to stick with NTL, if I'd moved onto Sky like my Mum did (who is now back on NTL) then I'd be screwed because of their "Fair Usage Policy".

I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed a completely different directing style. Different not being better. The zoom-ins, shaky cam and the back seat view really stood out.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v113/Vegenom/Smilies/lol.gif
6: Once you've downloaded what you want it will tell you what you're ratio is. Just keep seeding it until it reaches 1.0 then you can right click and remove it.

I feel there was an easy quip missed this week.
Earlier in the episode the patient said she started to hear with her eyes. Later when House asked one of the numbers if she'd seen a guy with a pretentious accent, she said that "You can't see an accent", to which House replied "Good point."
I feel a proper House retort would have been "I bet our pantient can."
Decent ep though.

I don't like how they're forcing the humor. House didn't have to try and be funny because he was naturally funny because he was being an ass. That's where the humor came from. In this season, they seem to be focusing on him being funny first which is a mistake IMO.

Gotta love Gregory House. Laurie is brilliant and the show writers very witty. Undoubtedly with Dexter the top two "new" shows I've truly enjoyed.
Unfortunately I have this natural dislike of hospitals, so it's a terrible struggle over if I should watch or not. I'm not afraid of needles or blood. Hospitals are just so damned depressing.
House flirting with Michael Michelle in this week's episode was priceless!! Glad her character's gonna be hanging around longer. I love how it come to down both cases being resolved with things as simple as herbal tea and orange juice (even if the girl who had polio ended up just having been poisoned so it would look like polio, by one of House's candidates.)

13 was garenteed a position from the beginning of the season. The CIA chick may have taken the spot, but they made her a total retard.
Glad we got 13 and Kumar... the show will be good... but Kal Penn, although he's been there... we haven't really seen an episode that lets us look at the character. The others have, but Kutner has been neglected.
That's because Kutner isn't deep... he doesn't have a whole lot of drama going on... he's just a guy who loves cool things and wants to be a doctor. He's not traumatized like 13, not obsessed like Amber, not overprofessional like Taulb, not uberprincipled like BigLove (Sorry, couldn't remember his name, but I loved that guy)... he's just a guy, and free to be just a guy. Which makes him so awesome, unlike in real life, when if you're just a guy, you're inherently average, lacking awesome.
But seeing the last ep has pushed me to eagerly anticipate what happens next...

blah, there's so much more to his character. BUt interestingly enough, House ended up with a very similar group to the first. Yes, the positions and genders are mixed up a little, but still relatively the same. Along these lines Chase = Kutner, Taulbp = Cameron, 13 = Forman. Kind of. I'm not saying it's definitive, or that the characters are exacltly the same. But you can sort of see what I mean.

it's kind of the basis that
Kutner's along for the ride
Taulbp cares
13 tries to hard
I mean they're not the same, but there are roles that need to be filled. Forman, has become just that, a forman. But each of the underlings, have to fill a criteria, that balances out House's logic.
Cameron, Chase and Forman did that. But after the coup, house needs a group to fill those gaps. House is in essence, an incomplete person, who needs his team to fill in when he can't figure stuff out. I thought that's what they were making quite clear over the course of Survivor: House

it's kind of the basis that
Kutner's along for the ride
Taulbp cares
13 tries to hard
Interesting. Kutner's definitely along for the ride... but both Taulb and 13 have had distinct bouts of caring and not caring, as well as trying too hard and not trying too hard. I do see what you're referring to, but I'm not sure it's as... dependable as it was for the old crew... but you are right, they do all balance house out well. Also I think Kutner's more of an opportunist than just riding... he's always waiting for his moment to strike, which is kind of why he made it through the game.
I do kind of wonder what they're going to do with Foreman... being a... foreman, or a House lite isn't much to do, especially, y'know, when House is always around. I also am constantly wondering if the intro will change to include the new crew (I do love the crew so much).
As far as I can tell, there will always be use for Cameron and Chase. Surgeries always have to be done, and patients always come in through the ER. They're extensions of House's team, which, imho, is ideal, as they were previously a part of House's team.

In addition, "24" will go back to shooting its seventh season, though that Emmy-winning drama won't return until Jan. 2009, when it can stick to tradition by airing 24 consecutive episodes.
The move that's bound to interest the greatest number of viewers is the shift of "House" to Monday nights. The medical drama will have its time period premiere on Monday, April 21 with an encore episode at 9 p.m. ET, followed by the first of an unspecified original post-strike episodes premiering the following week. FOX had already announced plans to air repeats on "House" on Mondays through the summer.
"House" will be paired with "Bones," which was already set to take the Monday 8 p.m. slot starting on April 14. The forensic series had a number of episodes in the can already and will shoot new ones as well.
The return of "House" means that FOX is moving up the premiere of " Canterbury's Law." Already on its third or fourth different premiere date and time slot, "Law" will now premiere on Monday, March 10 at 8 p.m.
The comedies "Back to You" and "'Til Death" will also stagger back onto the air in the weeks to come. With "Back to You," the network was already set to air original episodes on Tuesday, Feb. 26 and Wednesday, Feb. 27 in the post-"Idol" 9:30 p.m. slots. The series will then vanish until Wednesday, April 16, when it will have its 8:30 p.m. time slot premiere, beginning a run of new episodes. Wednesday, April 16 will also be the time period premiere for "'Til Death" in the 8 p.m. slot, but the comedy will air an isolated new episode on Tuesday, March 25 at 9:30 p.m.
In addition, FOX still has "Unhitched" (March 2), "New Amsterdam" (preview 03/04, time period premiere March 10), "The Return of Jezebel James" (March 14) and a new season of "Hell's Kitchen" (April 1) premiering this spring.
FOX also announced that the animated comedies "American Dad," "Family Guy" and "The Simpsons" are resuming production.

interesting theory. who is new york? i still think house will end up with either cuddy or camron.
i'm not saying i don't like the drama between the three, i just hate the "custody" idea even if it is pretty unique.

New York is the filthy, who got cut from Flavor of Love one year, and got a second chance as a ringer, the next year. She's just like Amber, only way dumber (I mean this is house afterall, where everybody is super intelligent)

yeah me too. i hate her and i really didn't want her on the show. he could have hired her if that was really the case and write it off as her being a good doctor not because he likes her subconciously. but i hate lingering casts. foremen quit bc of being a crybaby, camron quit, and chase got fired. why are they still in the hospital. either get rid of em, or don't make the story that way.
i still think house will end up with cuddy, or maybe camron at series finale.

I disagree, the lingering cast members are the best part of the show. Of the newbies, only Kutner is entertaining, to me atleast.
As for Amber, totally called it.

Had to be my favorite Cuddy/House moment, right along the thigh injection scenes. Cuddy stripping while nonchalantly discussing medical terms was hilarious. Filming that must have been a joy.

That finale was certainly an uplifting piece of tv...and by that, I mean quite possibly the most depressing hour of TV I've ever seen. But I loved every second of it. More House plz :o

yeah, totally brilliant episode, and depressing at the same time.
-loved how Amber turned out to be the perfect girlfriend for Wilson, even being able to deal and play with House (Wilson's adopted retarded brother)... and totally sad that it was House's 'need' that brought her to her end.
-we can however say that House didn't try to help her... I mean he had brain surgery, while recovering from a recent serious head trauma.
-all the subconscious stuff in house's head was brilliant.

Let's take a look at all the uplifting stuff that happened...
Amber is untreatable, dies in Wilsons arm.
Wilson finds note from Amber after finally returning home.
House has stroke.
Wilson walks out of Houses room without saying a word, showing there's probably resentment now, which is bad for House as Wilson is literally his only friend.
13 has Huntingtons.
Also, what band was that covering Teardrop during the montage, and where can I download that version of the song?
José Gonzáles.

House had a ceasure (sp), a stroke would have been much worse (ie. a part of his brain would have died, that'd be bad). Not gonna happen on this show.
As for Wilson and House, I don't think they're in too much danger. It's not like House didn't go out of his way to try and save her. Buddy had brain surgery in a vain attempt to try and remember what was wrong with her.
I'm actually sad to see her go. She would have been an interesting character to have around... maybe give wilson an edge in the college prank games they play on each other

As logical as that may sound, it's impossible to be completely rational when dealing with this kind of loss. If you look at it the other way, if it wasn't for House's drinking, calling him for a ride then wandering off when Amber arrived instead, all of it wouldn't have happened in the first place. Yeah, I'm sure that they'll eventually work things out in the long run (the House-Wilson dynamic is too central and important to the show to lose it permanently), there's likely going to be friction for at least the first few episodes next season.
On a side note, does anyone reckon that since they've already had a case of lupus (what a waste of a good running gag), they'll save Thirteen's name for the final episode instead?

That finale WAS a tear-jerker. :(
But it was good.
Usually House saves the day (at least when I watch it)... and I LIKE it that way.
They start making this show TOO tragic and I'll have to bail. I've had too many bad hospital experiences to volunteer to be depressed...
As for Wilson... he'll probably do the woulda, shoulda, coulda game for awhile... heck, he might even blame himself for not being there when House called. But, I hope he gets over it. House DID risk his life trying to save Amber.

Man that was an amazing episode, and probably one of the saddest things ive ever watched. And i just loved the look on both Wilson's and House's face when he asked House to have the surgery, because right there House knew that Amber's life was more important to Wilson than Houses was. Even though House was already prepared to take that risk for Wilson it must of hurt alot to hear Wilson actually ask him to do it. Man i love this show.

But then, House said something along the lines of Cuddy didn't even know Thirteen's name. While it could be a reference to how she's always called Thirteen, it still leaves room for it not to be her real name, however unlikely.
P.S.: Imagine if that both really are part of her name: Dr. Thirteen Hadley :D
