I love Dane Cook, the guy is hilarious. I could see him come from no where and say "Yeah I just came out from my house, and I was washing a dish and I came out"
You won't get that unless you downloaded or bought his cd's.

lol Dane Cook, that would be awesome. Imagine in a fight secene:
Wolverine throws Sabertooth through the wall. Wolverine steps into the large hole.
Wolverine "OH YEAH!"
DC "OH NO"
Wolverine "Oh Yeah?"
DC "OH NO"
Wolverine "Here you want some juice?"
DC "NO I DON'T WANT YOUR STUPID JUICE, YOU BIG STUPID MUTANT. Ya, it's cool to come crashing through the wall, IT'S COOL TO USE THE DOOR TOO!"
Wolverine "......oh yeah?"
DC "NO! And fix this hole in my wall before my dad comes home and beats me with a belt! Bit stupid juice man...."

The idea of Dane cook playing Deadpool is a really good idea. Far fetched but a really good idea.
With the popularity he has now it would be a good movie boost too.
Dane cook or Bruce Cambell could pull the role well. That's it so far.

Dane Cook would make for a great Wade Wilson (aka Deadpool). He would look perfect with the scarring on his face and everything.
That being said, I also think Ryan Reynolds would be an even better DP. He's already got the build, and I think he's a slightly better actor then Dane. As far as funny goes, Dane wins, but acting-wise, I'd have to choose Ryan.

Idk, I mean I think that it would depend the script can make something funny. Cook's a comedian so its not like he'd write his part. Also how would he do with the Scarring and the baldness? Would we even see his mutant power.

Well seeing as how Ryan Reynolds has aparently turned down the role because he thought it was to similar to Hanibal King, not to mention that he is doing The Flash, I think Dane Cook would be a great second choice! Personaly I'd rather have Reynolds, but if I can't DEFINATLY Cook!

Cook's personality from his stand-up anyway is crazy and surprising.
I don't know much about Deadpool but from what I've seen from Xmen legends II and a wikipedia page about him, Dane is perfect for him.
Ryan reynolds too..not a bad idea even if he did turn it down. But defintly Dane Cook

Bruce Campbell is to darn cool to be Deadpool. Wade has to have a certain loser-ish quality to him. He's funny because he has to be. Because that's all he has going for him.
I think Dane Cook could do it, but I don't want Deadpool in a Wolverine movie.

I agree that a cameo appearance in the Wolverine movie could be kool. I also think it would great if they gave deadpool his own movie. Movie-makers seem to be running out of ideas these days, and Deadpool is one of the many other marvel characters thats interesting enough to possibly be in a successful movie. Personally I wouldve liked to see Ryan Reynolds play him always thought it would be a fun idea, but Dane Cook is kool too.

Dane Cook would be great! He's got that sarcastic humor and high energy, adn he has a decent build as is, a little work and he'd be in perfect shape. And about acting:many standup comics go into acting and do great jobs. After all, standup comedy is a performance.
I love Bruce Campbell but he is a bit old for the job. And he would have to do a lot of work to shape up for a superhero role.

Ryan Reynolds would make a horrible Deadpool. He wasnt even close to funny in Blade. Deadpools lines would have to be delivered at a break-neck speed one after another. The character is picked on constantly for his "hollow demi moore" sounding voice so some one with a pretty high pitch would be hilarious. He could be a black guy without messing with things at all. Chris Tucker ala "Ruby Rod" would be funny. :D The character is seen by others as loud and annoying.;) A few screams would be perfect. Hes not to skinny for the role he`s supposed to look like a "Spider Man rip-off" anyway.

I think the general assumption has always been that Deadpool is a white man. But really, underneath all that scar tissue, ol' Wade Wilson is racially ambiguous. I personally haven't seen for sure that he's white or black, but then again, I haven't read alot of him.
But I would not be opposed to Tucker as the Pool, he'd just have to evolve beyond the kind of action-character he plays or only do the voiceover.

When I first read this, I was like..."what??" and when I sat and really thought about it, I realized what a tremendous idea this was. Dane Cook has the rugged, hilarious, stream-of-consciousness way of speaking that I totally picture coming out of Deadpool's mouth. Whether he be a villain in a movie or given a film of his own, this would be incredible and would absolutely pay to see it. Not to mention the fact that Dane is in quite good shape and it really doesn't matter what he looks like, since he's masked anyway.
I understand that it is irrelavent since Deadpool doesn't really need to be in this movie, but he should end up somewhere! What a unique idea, as well. A comedic bad-ass killing machine. I cannot think of a single villain or hero that comes close to the character of Deadpool. He's like a combination of the Joker, Spider-man, and the Punisher. Completely insane and funny, runs at the mouth while fighting with great one-liners, but is a serious killing machine.
Wow. I'm really glad someone thought of this, haha. Good job!

Bruce is funny but he's not Deadpool funny. There's different styles...Dane Cook fits that of Deadpool's to a T. I'd love to see him have a small roll in the movie. Just someone to irritate Sabretooth maybe, who'd probably be the leader of the pack of the collection of Wolverine foes...Deadpool could be the comic relief to Sabretooth's straightman (everyone's the straightman standing next to Deadpool, really). I'd even like to hear him make some obvious reference like "Wolverine: This is your life!".

If you're talking about the Wolverine movie then yes, I do think. Wolverine will attract legions of fans to the theatre. And they are the low brow x-men fans that like violence and humour, at the same time. They are the perfect people to expose Deadpool too and they will probably love him.
As long as the actor is good and the dialogues are fresh, and not crappy one-liners like what they did with Wadey Wilson in the ultimate spiderman series.

Haha, yeah, I can see you point, but hindsight is 20/20. At the time, Dane Cook was a very funny comedian, (and very popular one) who was extremely physical and had the type of frame that looked like he could pull off the physical demands of the role.
Now, I'm not saying the guy is a great actor, but I thought he did fine in Mr. Brooks. However, I certainly wouldn't take him over Reynolds.

You guys fail to realize he is in good shape and can be witty . He would actually be suitable for the role.

Well I always thought he just sucked as like a romantic, leading man. He was solid in Dan In Real Life, Waiting, and Mr. Brooks.

If you don't like him, how could you say he's funny?
Just because i dont like him doesnt mean i can recognize his talent.

You've only seen him do a cameo in one film and you still decided to post .

I said I havent seen those other two films. He has more than three movies, you realize. and yes, I have seen him in other films, and yes he still sucks.

I like Dane Cook and think IF Ryan doesn't do the film he is a good choice.
His voice and comic delivery is similar to Deadpool's in Hulk vs Wolverine.
You've got to think we won't see MUCH of Dane if he was Deadpool so most of it would be voice-over work, if we see him without a mask most of his face will be messed up.

Ok because your post gave me the impression you were basing him off one film. I think his stand-up is great but his film all have weak scripts , they should let him improvise more.

Fair enough.
Im just highly against this because Deadpool has been one of my fave characters forever, and I always thought Reynolds would be ultimate for him. I dont think Cook even deserves to be nominated. I cant even think of another actor persuing this character, it's Reynolds all the way!

Well I'd prefer Ryan Reynolds also . They could use Cook if Reynolds drops out of the project and if it is cook keep him under the mask 90% percent of the film.

I think Dane Cook would make a great Wade Wilson.
