First off if this belongs in the sequels, sorry, I guess it will be moved there.

Now call me crazy or stupid but the guy has played a super hero before & he was always intense as Cyclops & more intense about his love and relationship with Jean. Once he finds out Lois is still in love with Supes & Supes eventually breaks them up, he could be a super villian some how.

No I'm not all that familiar with the tons of stories in the comics like many of you but after watching all the clips I just feel like Singer could be setting him up to be Metallo or something of that nature. The thing that really drew my suspicion was him asking or "not knowing" about kryptonite.

Supes will eventully break them up, breaking up the family & Richard's heart. I doubt if he will still work at the Planet & he'll go off & somehow become Metallo or some other villian. Talk about inner conflict & personal struggle for Superman knowing he possibly drove Lois' baby daddy to be a villian. Let's face it, Lois still loves him & they'll eventually get back together sooner or later.

Actually send to Superman Returns sequel forum.

Marsden has even stated something along the lines of, "who knows? My character may even become a villain."

Did anyone see him in the "See Plane" blog? Was he drunk and/or high, or is that the way he acts? It was funny, but weird. I thought he was straight-laced like Cyclops, but nooooooooo.

I didn't get that until it was explained in an interview- that also threw me off guard. That was actually Marsden doing an impersonation of Singer! Singer mentioned in an interview that Marsden does great impersonations and has an impersonation of Singer that he sometimes does on set- the crew and cast thought it was funny- and someone came up with the idea of filming it and putting it in as one of the web blogs.

Take out the thief and murderer part & add a bitter broken hearted ex fiance of Lois who got into a car crash after their break up & you have Metallo.
