I would love it if they made the Phoenix saga....but i don't think so because scott already died....if they remade the movie i don't think stan lee would let them change the whole original story line.

Well yeah...Jean came back from the death, even if she was buried but I don't think it would be such a bright idea to bring her to life AGAIN.

Then will the real Jean Grey who's still at the bottom of Alkali Lake step forward please!

Not gonna happen in the movies buddy. She already died and came back to life in one trilogy. They're not going to do it in another. They should have done it in X3 but whatever.

Then will the real Jean Grey who's still at the bottom of Alkali Lake step forward please! Ummm the real Jean is the one you see in X3, they made it seem as if Jean had two personalities, The Poenix and her normal self. And in X3 the Phoenix was in control allthough she died at the end....

I dont think we should see "The Phoenix" again. I think they should move on to The Apocalypse.

i really wish they would bring both jean and scott back to life. i mean jean is my fav, but i also agree with others, having her die and come back to life twice in a row would get repetitive. either way it would still be cool :):):):)

I would like to see the Phoenix Saga also, but they can't just come out with a movie and be like " We were just playing with the last movie, just forget what you saw." Unless, of course, it was a reboot.

I would like to see Phoenix again, but I doubt she would. Plus, I don't think the movie version of Phoenix has the ability to ressurect herself. It was even stated in the movie itself that Jean did not die, she simply sheilded and protected herself from the force of the water with a telekinetic cocoon.

that still doesnt mean she cant resurrect herself. it just means the first time she enver really did die. ;)

After watching Superman, I agree. I kept telling my friends how powerful Phoenix was and it really doesnt show. I want a complete and utter psycho displaying her power to the fullest of its abilities. If Superman can be in space then she can eat a star.

I want my real Phoenix.

ps- Im not comparing the movies, just the use and display of powers.

Me too, they still can do it:

- All of a sudden, she resurrects, so they start to found out that on the phoenix there's more than meets the eye. they also discover that the jean they fight was actually Jean and Phoenix struggling to take control, but the one they are gonna fight is the Phoenix persona taking total control, making her a REAL threat to the planet (plus ,manifesting the firebird)

- A man named Nathaniel Essex (Sinister) became interest in Jean Grey, so he kidnaps her corpse to do some experiment and revive her.but this get uglier: the one who is revived is the Phoenix personality, so it takes control of the body, it escapes, and starts to destroy everything on its path (also manifesting the firebird).

I agree, Jean is my favorite X-men character in the whole world, but they had there chance to make her shine and Famke did excellenting acting as her her but its late now because if they do anothe rone it'd be stupid to bring her back again.

at the end when magneto was playing chess and moved it, (yes we can all clearly see that he moved it!) that was a sure give away for a sequel of some sort, but if they really wanted to have a sequel, they would've used the line that prof. X said in the cartoon, but by someone else because we all know what happens to him. It was, "the phoenix was a mythical bird...consumed by fire, but always rose again from the ashes."

There is no Phoenix Force in the movie.

I hope that someday, they start over and someone like Joss Whedon does the Dark Phoenix saga properly. But there's no way to do anything like that with the way the movies are going.

the only way they would do that is if like 20-30 years from now some remakes it. i actually liked the movie but hey to each their own.

pretty much like that, unless Singer came to X4 and make her justice.....

I hope they restart the whole X-men movie franchise in 2020, because right now it's pure Wolverine crap. And I hope they make Wolverine a short and hairy guy not a tall and pretty "Wolverine Wannabe" guy.

I don't think it'll be a good idea to bring Jean to life again, though she's one of my fav xmen. But I'd like to see a movie dedicated to her - it can be interesting.

Well, I hear the Hulk franchise may be getting a total reboot after only three years since the Ang Lee film. There is still hope for a true X-men movie....but I still think we're looking at 10 to 15 years before we see a total reboot of this franchise. Furthermore, the spin-offs are attached to the current franchise, which will make it harder to do a reboot sooner than later.

Who knows, in 10 to 15 years comicbook films maynot even be in vogue anymore.

There's no way of doing the Dark Phoenix saga properly without a complete and total reboot.

I'm hoping in a couple years Joss will be handed the reigns of the X-franchise and we'll get X-films made by someone who actually understands the characters.

Not a big problem. Most of the intended viewing audience is clueless about the finer points of the X-men storylines anyways. Heck they probably wouldn't even remember what happened in the previous film.

Besides, X3 doesn't really count as the conclusion of a story arc since it neither concluded the story or resolved or wrapped up any questions or plot points set up in the previous two films, so heck, bring on the Phoenix Saga! That would be a spinoff worth waiting for IMHO.

We the Phoenix and Jean Grey fans...just try to forget X3 story line...There's no Phenix Saga without Cyclops in...Those people had the greatest chance to make an excellent X-MEN movie with Phoenix story and missed it...They had an actress like Famke Janssen that could give us all the facial and emotional expressions of Phoenix that we needed so that we could see the Phoenix on Screen (cause she was objectively really good in X3 and i think that her acting part was one of the factors that held X3 from not being a disaster!)

Jesus why FOX f*****d up my favorite X-Men chars??? (Jean, Rogue). I've caught myself recently thinking 'Thank God so far they didnt include Remy... They would have simply sc****d up everything!'

Thank God I ended up early in the desicion to say that in my mind X-Men comics&TAS and X-Men movies must NOT be connected...:O

Even though Jean Grey is Phoenix - so rising from the ashes shouldn't be an issue - I don't think she can be killed an resurrected every single movie.

Jean's death at the end of Dark Phoenix was what made it such a great story as well, and after Jean keeps dying, that sacrifice means less and less.

And without the Phoenix being a cosmic entity, it's even more difficult. They can't even do something like introduce Rachel Summers and give her the Phoenix Force if it's something that's the psycho part of Jean.

They can't assume the audience are idiots and don't remember anything that happened in the previous three movies.

It's going to be difficult to do a complete re-start in a few years, but that's going to be necessary. They bring everyone back to life and start over with a new cast.

i agree with this. i mean despite the fact that it was upposed to be the last movie, it just can't. they will mostly likely make an X4 or some form of a spin off on this story line because they cleared up nothing. we were left with like 800 questions. i mean in any trilogy the third movie should resolve the story line, not leave you with a question mark.

They can still bring her back, she is the Phoenix, and they haven't solve a way for Jean to finaly control her powers....no even display her true powers, so thy still got a chance............
