There's plenty of rumors regarding the departure of Sam Raimi from the spider-man franchise, and if the rumors do indeed come true (unforunately), I wondering who you guys would choose to helm spider-man 4 and beyond. My personal choice would be Richard Kelly. After watching Donnie Darko, I think that he captures the teenage spirit pretty well, and he could further develop Peter's character. I also think he would keep the look and feel of movieverse spidey (unlike Ratner who only kept the look of the previous X-films) because I think he may be a Raimi fan (evil dead had a cameo in donnie darko for those of you who havent seen the movie). He also can probably replace Tobey with Jake Gyllenhaal, who I think is more Peter Parker-ish than Tobey Maguire. Only thing is I hope he doesn't make Spidey suicidal or crazy or have Peter start seeing giant bunny rabbits in the mirror. But other than that, I think that Richard Kelly would be a great director for the upcoming sequels. But I really would want to hear your guys's choices, no matter how interesting they are (like Joel Schumacher lol)

Agreed. He'd be better than Raimi, not saying Raimi's bad but Jackson's a better director. Jackson should direct the next spiderman trilogy, if there is one.

Peter Jackson is better suited for Captain America. I'd like to see David Fincher's (Fight Club, Seven) take on Spidey. With a brand new cast of course.

I would LOVE for either Bryan Singer or Peter Jackson to direct the next Spider-Man trilogy, but Singer has already done 3 comic films and is well on the way to two more. (SR sequels) Plus, I dont know if Peter Jackson is the comic book-to film guy, but he'd sure make it look good.

I dunno IMO Jackson needs to do some epic sci-fi story, like I am Legend or something, after LOTR I see Jackson doing more largescale movies you know, I view the spidey films to be human dramas with kick ass action you know lol. Jackson if anything should do the next X-Men with the Apocalypse storyline, that would be epic as hell and WETA would totally create mindblowing effects for that too.

SAM RAIMI should direct the films 4-6. Come on, he is a perfect Spidey director. If not Raimi, Bryan Singer should direct the movies. But, honestly I wouldn't like to see any Spider-Man movie until 2012 or something like dis. They should take at least a 5 yrs break.

Peter Jackson has to make atleast one comic book film, he was successful in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Sony has to consider him for sm-4.

It's obvious that Uwe Boll is the only man up to the task.

He's got something that most directors don't have... an extra chromosome.

I'd love to fight that piece of human garbage... But apparently only critics are allowed to enter.
I should write a quick review of how horrible "Bloodrayne" was.
