Discuss future casting choices for spiderman movies beyond spiderman 3. I was searching and I couldn't find a thread that was about all villains or ther characters. So, I made one for all. The others are for particular ones, this one's for any casting suggestions. I'll start by giving my top choices for a few villains that could be in future spiderman movies.

Bruce Campbell as Mysterio

I hate to say it, since its a good casting choice, but Bruce Campbell will probably never have more than a cameo in Sam Raimi's Spiderman movies. Its really just a fun joke between Raimi and Campbell, since the two worked on the Evil Dead movies together. Nothing more, in my opinion.


Oh, and are they officially making 6 movies? Is Raimi on for all of them if so? Because I love Tobey Maguire as Peter, and I don't want it to change. But if there's 6 flicks (rhyme!) its pretty much inevitable.

I mean, they won't want to re-cast, they'll try to bring everyone back. If it doesn't work out and she's in then by the time they started filming 4 she would be 20, 21 tops.

Yeah right. Pressly doesn't look a thing like I imagined Felia Hardy/Black Cat to look like in a film. On the other hand, Dushku does. It's true we might not see Black Cat in a future spiderman film but who knows? I never thought we'd see sandman in a film and he's the main villain of sm-3.

I think Justin Long would make a cool Spiderman.He's got the look, he's a good actor as far as actors go and to me he looks the part. I remember years ago when American Psycho first came out after I watched it I thought Christian Bale would make a cool Batman I even told my buddy who came with me that he would be a good Batman, and for years I kept telling everyone that he would make a cool Batman. I see him more of a ultimate parker. If they were to make an ultimate spiderman movie, then he'd be perfect. I've never really been a fan of the ultimate series, I like TAS better.

I think it would probably come down to these two as well... Cuthbert is perfect for her age... Mcadams could pull off an MJ look... but she will be in her early thirties by SM4... I mean Dunst was a natural blonde too... I'd say give #1 a shot...

I'm hoping Mysterio is in spiderman 4 or 5. I want the fourth villain of spiderman 3 to be the Lizard. I want there to be a cliffhanger at the end of spiderman 3, to set-up him up for a bigger role in spiderman 4. I also want Brock to go to jail and the symbiote to escape at the end of spiderman 3. That should also be a cliffhanger for spiderman 4.

Cletus Kasady is a hard one to cast. I think, on looks only, I'd say

Nah, I don't see the Shermanator as Cletus. Sam Rockwell would be the best choice. Of course I do see a bit of Cletus in Dave Busey. Looking at "Identity" (which Alfred Molina a.ka. Doc Ock starred in also) and his prison con role you can see he can play a sadistic/creepy S.O.B.

i have no doubt that Eliza would made a kick a$$ blackcat, but I have a hard time picturing her as Felicia, I don't know if she could pull off Hardy side of the role.

a younger Alicia Silverstone (who didn't already play batgirl) would of been a good cast, but, ya know she’s not that young anymore, and she did already play batgirl, so, that wouldn't work.
A very stupid but kinda funny idea, would to be cast the olsens twins, have mary-kate play Felicia and ashley (bulk up and stuff) to play blackcat lol j/k I really would have to kill myself if that happened but its a funny idea, though, having a set of twin in the role would be good, is there any other twin actress out there, i can't think of any off the top of my head.
anyway, scenes i can't think of anyone else for the role.

I'd like Tobey to stay too. Jake was acting in a role, get over it. I agree to not bring in blonde bimbos Simpson or Reid. And the Black Cat is not blonde, she has silver-white hair. No to the Hilton-like diva Felicia, that's out of character. Also no to her acting like Catwoman; True they're both cat-themed thieves but they are not the same character.

He's a old school comic fan, and he knows his s*** when it come to comics, I know he’s not will known for big budget action flicks, he mainly just sticks to his style movies, (though he was original attached to a green hornet movie a while back) but I still think he could do some kick a$$ s*** with it. Why do people keep casting Hydro-Man? He doesn't even crack the top 20 of Spider-Man's enemies, and nobody cares about him, haha. I'd say Lizard, Mysterio, Carnage, Vulture, Electro, Hobgoblin, Scorpion, Chameleon, Rhino, Shocker and Kraven are the only villains with the possibility of making it onscreen.

Even lame people like Morbius, Beetle, Hammerhead, and Tombstone have a higher chance than friggin Hydro-Man.

It's not hard for the make-up people to give someone a spare tire or more. Did you see the make-up job in Shallow Hal or what the Friends make-up team did w/ Cox in the flashback eppys?

Nah, Beckingsale is better off playing Selina Kyle than Felicia Hardy despite their similarities of dressing up like cats. She could also be a fantastic Wonder Woman if she wanted it.

But Jeff Goldblum has really peaked since "The Lost World: Jurassic Park." I rather see him do "Jurassic Park 4" or something than see him play The Scorpion. Jeff Goldblum would've made a great Scarecrow for "Batman" back in the day but like I said he peaked and needs a new leg to walk on.

As for recasting....I dunno. I like the idea of Isla Fisher as MJ but I don't know who'd replace Maguire. I would've said Topher Grace a few years ago but now....heh. I just don't think audiences will buy anyone else in the roles of Pete and MJ now after THREE movies that CEMENTED Maguire and Dunst in the roles for the next decade or two (whether you like their portrayals or not).

I'm not fully convinced that Cuthbert could play the role, simply because of her acting. I'd go with Eliza Dushku, but I doubt we'll even see Black Cat in a future film.

A cheerleader movie, a terrible Fox TV show and a few other forgettable pieces of work (don't try and use True Lies as an example, please). Sure Cuthbert has been in her share of bad movies too but she hasn't done all complete crap and as I said neither has shown a lot of flexing in their films but Cuthbert is obviously pushing it a little more these days though.

I'd watch Wrong Turn over House of Wax anyday. Eliza's also been in The New Guy, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and Soul Survivors, which in my opinion aren't 'forgetable pieces of work.'
And she was good in True Lies. Something Dushku does that Cuthbert lacks is bringing something special to the character instead of just saying lines.
Sure Cuthbert has been in her share of bad movies too but she hasn't done all complete crap and as I said neither has shown a lot of flexing in their films but Cuthbert is obviously pushing it a little more these days though.
No, all movies Cuthbert has been in has been bad. I've given the majority of them a chance because some of them starred people I like and people that could act but they just aren't good.

Well first I saw Wrong Turn on HBO and it was one of the WORST MOVIES EVER MADE. So if House of Wax is crap (haven't seen it, and hopefully never will) so what, it isn't like Eliza has not been in a bad horror movie either. And her part in True Lies was very limited (hence why I wouldn't bring up 24 for Cuthbert, both great pieces of film/television however both starring in minor roles that were obviously the least important to the writers and therefore most annoying to the audience, albeit Kim Bauer for all her nusances has had a bit more to do) and I never held Buffy in high regard. Haven't seen Soul Survivors (nor heard of it) and while Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back was a deent flick (not Kevin Smith's best) again her role was so limited it didn't matter as her partners were played by extremely bad actresses like Ali Larter and the infamous Shannon Elizabeth.

For the record Cuthbert has been in some dogs (I have not seen House of Wax but will take your word for it that that was a crap movie), but The Girl Next Door while forgettable and a bit of a knock-off of Risky Business was a highly entertaining teen flick and one of the better ones of the last decade (not saying much as it was only decent) and The Quiet seems to be a pretty good thriller if a bit morbid and disturbing in which she is suppoesed to be pretty good.

I would hardly call either a great actress by any mean and likely neither would be considered for Black Cat if she ever makes it to film, but I think Cuthbert looks more the part and more importantly has demonstrated herself to be a more capable actress.

Oded Fehr seems to be the favorite choice and he is good but I just don't want the character in any future movies. I just think he's kind of annoying.

She isn't a great actress but she can play the part well enough and I can say quite easily that she is as good an actress if not better than Eliza Dusku though.
Lets not make the mistake of putting a terrible actress in an awesome female role again please, "well enough" is far from good enough.

ex. Hale Berry in the widely known comedy Catwoman.
