why do people say jean is a scene stealer through the trilogy?

watch the first and second movie. the first she is just barely a character and the second she has a good 3 or 4 substantial scenes. yes a majority of the third movie was about her but look at how much she actually did. the final battle she was nonexistant until the very very end. and with the story line she was a major major character. the only one that she was kind of a scene stealer was the first half of the third one.

we've got the scene with...
1. jean and scott
2. in the infirmiry with logan
3. her house
4. briefly at the brotherhood camp
5. the very end

and the opening 20 years ago scene if you would consider that but i dont...

I don't think she was; in X1 she was the least developed of the X-men so X2 sort of balanced her out with the others in screentime. While X3 had a plotline centered around her so of course she'd be shown and even then she wasn't that prominent.

You don't have to do a lot to steal a scene. Jean is the love interest of Wolverine and Wolverine gets a lot of screen time, which mean there's often a lot of focus on Jean's reaction to Wolverine's actions. This is probably where the scene stealing comments come from. She sort of gets the last word in each scene, even in the earlier films.

That said, I don't view her as a scene stealer myself. Every has a chance to shine.

I don't think of her as a scene stealer at all. As has already been said, X1 she got next to no character development at all. X2, she got more, which she deserved. X3, she was one of the main focus', but that happened naturally and was a slow process.

that's stupid....why would she be a scene stealer when she is the main character in that movie of X3???? I mean it is telling the phoenix saga over..so why wouldn't she be in a lot of scenes??? duh!
