So I finally got a Gamecube...good decision?

Bought one today at Walmart with a memory card. I'm asking if it was a good decision because I could hardly find any games for it. Are stores not selling gamecube games anymore? I'd like to buy a few more before the Wii and PS3 come out.

Right now I have Die Hard Vendetta and Godzilla Destroy All Monsters.

As much as I hate to admit it (I'm a huge Nintendo fan) most stores only stock a limited amount of Gamecube titles cuz the console is all but dead and forgotten.

This is a shame because some of the best games can be found on this console; Metroid Prime, Zelda Wind Waker, Star Fox Adventures, Smash Brother's Melee and my fave game of all time "Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem"

That is why I played it safe and boought a GameCube, Xbox and PS2. I covered all my bases

Get Resident Evil 4 and it will have been completely worth the price. Easily the best game on the system, not to mention the best game of last generation, period.

The controls are terrible, the camera angles atrocious and if I have to look at that stupid door opening image thingy one more time I'm going to throw my copy of Res Evil at the guy who created it.

Buying a Gamecube at this point was f**king retarded considering that the Wii is comming out in October/November and has backwards compatablility with Gamecube games and can play old games from the Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Genesis, and Turbo-Graphix systems.

Anyways good games would include:

- the Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (forget about what people say about the graphics, it fits the tone of the game, it presents the best Ganondorf/Ganon battle EVER, the only problems are that there is too much sailing and Tingle is in full force in this game)

- Resident Evil 0 (its the same old traditional Resident Evil gameplay, but hell it's still fun!)

- Resident Evil (remake)

- Resident Evil 4 (best version in my opinion is the Gamecube version, best controls and best graphics)

- Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes (remake of Metal Gear Solid, but with Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty graphics and other additions WITHOUT RAIDEN, the controls are a little weird though on account that Metal Gear Solid is a game that is really made for the Playstation controller)

i beat it twice in a row. i love mgs 1 so much, especially TS. snake looks awesome. i love using the stealth camo to **** with the guards. :D

I wouldn't say it's a 'wise decision', the only reason being is that the Wii will be coming out around November, and it will play every Gamecube game, working with Gamecube controllers, but be everything the Wii is. IT will probably be 250 dollars or so.

I have eternal darkness (the best game made in my opinion) and Res Evil remake (I listened to the hype and now wish I hadn't).

I'm just mission RE0 (which considering it has all the same problems as RE1/2/3 I will never buy it) and RE4 which I might buy, I don't know if I will yet but I will consider it.

Oh and there are loads of great games on the Cube. The cube is my fave console.
