Singularity over at Bluetights let me know that Andrew Kevin Walker's (Se7en, Sleepy Hollow) script for Superman V Batman (under the codename Asylum) is also available at the same site here (http://www.dailyscript.com/scripts/asylum.pdf)

I thought it worked stronger than the Abram's script. Whilst there were fewer characters and very little mythology, there was more focus on Superman and the fact he was Kryptonian. There was less action than SL, and Supes did far less heroic acts.

Batman was written FAR better than Supes though (in fact, I could totally see Bale playing this role, but in 10 years time). The problem is that the 'villains' were criminally underused (if the film was 2 hours long, they wouldn't turn up until 50 minutes and 60 minutes respectively), and only had a grand total of 3 scenes each. On top of that, the 3 female roles were all underwritten (We don't see what makes Elizabeth so special that Bruce would kill for her, Barbara is from Batman Begins and in 3 scenes, and Lana is too perfect). As for another LL, she's not even seen in the film once.

The continuity in this script is crazier than any I've read in other scripts, TV shows, films, or comics. It may have been a stronger script, but a less than average film.

I am a strong supporter of the Batman vs. Superman idea, but that script is just too hard to read...(smiley face)

Wolfgang Petersen doesn't deserve this movie...I Do!

Replace "Elizabeth" with Rachel Dawes and it'd make more sense...plus it'd be in continuity of the BB series, which is a plus.

Definitely not, Elizabeth's role is far more sinister and exploited. Actually, I could see Barbara's role being replaced by Rachel to make it more in BB continuity.

But I could see a 40 year old Bale pull off this role as a finale to his Batman. The character is a very Frank Miller DKR influenced role, but played with more humanity. Bruce stopped being Batman because he was afraid of letting his rage consume him, and in the end gave it up to save his soul. When he returns as Batman, its like Al Pacino in Godfather 3, as someone who's dragged back into the underworld. It would be a fantastic way for Bale to end his Bat-career.
