Okay, so in the New Avengers Illuminati Iron man sorta gives it to the group telling them what will happen and how he sees things playing out. Note that this happens before Civil War starts. He so far has been right on with his predictions...

1. The superheros will be split down the middle
2. Superhero will fight superhero
3. Spider-Man will be unmasked
4. It will be big in the press

All of those predictions have come true. Now for some other predictions yet to be fufilled...

5. Spider-Man's marriage will be destroyed
6 His family will be broken
7. Camera will be on him constantly

Now, many people have speculated that something has to go down with Pete and MJ. All of Iron Mans other predictions were correct, so what about...

5. Spider-Man's marriage will be destroyed

I dunno, but it sounds like something's gonna happen there...just my observation.

Any opinions?

So, you needed to get that observation from the comic rather than readin' the several threads already dedicated to the plans they have fer the marriage?

Come on. Everyone doesn't have the time to sit on this board for hours on end..

But Webz, I didn't catch on to that, and I can't wait to see what happens.

I'm more bemused by the fact Iron Man all but morphed into Nostradamus for an issue.

he was using the unmasking as a negative in that though, so it didnt really happen the way he said it would.

I like to know the sorce of my information, not just someone's interpretation of the info.

Ah, yes. The wonders of being a comic book geek.

So, direct quotes from Joe Q and JMS from both Wizard AND Newsarama are "someone's interpretation of the info"?

Yer ****ting me, right?

Hey, cool down. I was just making a conclusion from the comic only and just was interested in knowing if anyone else had picked up on this. I wasn't including outside source, quoted or otherwise.

Bunky, I'm cool as a cucumber. Just runnin' off what ya said with a twinge of disbelief that ya said it.

And of course people picked up on it. It's no startlin' discovery everythin' Iron Man said is happening . Again, if you followed things you'd see all that stuff was in the wind way before that issue was ever released. Was just them puttin' their intentions in a character's mouth.

P.S. when I'm pissed off, believe me, you will know it.

I think it will be a 'fake split' to spare MJ danger threats. Something well acted, out in the open and made to seem real.

I think you may be taking the words of Iron Man too literally there. He was just using Spidey as an example. Yes, Spider-Man did unmask. But this was also before the tragedy in Stamford. And before Tony asked Peter to be at his side. And Tony is refering to a "they". As in, the government if Spider-man defied to register. But he didn't defy the registration and is going to stand at Tony's side, therefore...unmasking.
