View Full Version : Steve Trevor Casting Thread
Alright... Wonder Woman has got to have Steve Trevor in her corner, as a heroic pilot, military man and personality strong enough to love a goddess and attempt to claim her as his own. For those unfamiliar with Wonder Woman mythos here's Wikipedia Steve Trevor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Trevor)
Here are my humble offerings:
for a young pure pre-crisis Steve Trevor, played for maturity see:
Josh Lucas (Stealth, Glory Road)

for an older Steve Trevor, a blending of pre and post crisis... the kind of blend that appears, or is imitated in the Wonder Woman vol 3 #1.
Dennis Quaid (Day After Tommorrow, Flight of the Phoenix)

Nathan Fillion is a very interesting choice. he's a pretty good actor that can bring a full range to a characater.
the thing is Nathan is pretty tall :D(6'1), so whoever will be WW cant be a shorty because ideally WW is eye level with Trevor.
It's odd that those are the casting choices that come up for Hal Jordan so often... Jim Caviezel anyone? I do like the idea of Fillion though, and I think they can do heels and a little camera trick for a 5'8" actress to be eye level with the guy...
Okay, if no one else wants to post their ideas, another question: How much of a 'damsel in distress' can Trevor be? Is he the person WW should be saving? Should he have a fight scene? Clue me in...

I'd like to see Josh Lucas as Steve Trevor. I do hope that Steve does have some good fight scenes in the movie.

I never thought of him as a damsel in distress at all. He fights and does his own thing regardless if WW is there or not. He was a war hero even before she appeared.
He should have a part in saving her in the end, like how Richard and Lois helped save Superman in SR.

Isn't Steve Trevor a senior citizen in the current comic timeline?
With proper casting, being eye-level with the actor woudln't be a problem, since Diana is supposed to be 5'11 without heels.

Michael Muhney (Sheriff Don Lamb from Veronica Mars) may be in the running. He has a connection with Joel Silver who is producing.

I suggested him for Barry/Flash, but I guess Simon Baker could make a good Steve Trevor too...

Muhney may not be bad though.

Excellent choices.
The Question

I'd go with Quaid. I prefer an older Trevor. Having him as a love intrest just never worked for me. And no to Fillion. SImply because he has to play The Question. :o

He's my dream casting choice. He'd play the part perfectly. Cynical, a smartass, conflicted, and overly violent, yet trying to atain inner peace.

Trevor is Nemisis in the new WW ongoing correct?
The Question

No, i know that, i mean in WW's ongoing comic series.
The Question

Oh, wait. Misread. No, he's not. Nemisis was posing as Trevor on secret agent-y buisness.

Josh Lucas would probably be a good choice for Steve.
I could see it.
