Catwoman a villian?

I never understood Catwoman's purpose I mean if she's a villain or love-interest to Batman? One-min she's against the Dark Knight other she's fighting with him.

Last year I wrote a Timeline that tried to organize and explain, in chronological order, some of the major "turning points" in the Batman/Catwoman romances that have been "in continuity" at one time or another. I posted a copy on this board, and it's still available if you follow the link.

One of these days I really need to go back and revise it, add a few extra explanations of one story or another, etc. But I'm currently waiting until we find out who the father of her baby really is so I can address that :)

I haven't been reading the Catwoman title, so I only know about the baby from hearsay. Even so, here are a few points:

1. I don't think Bruce is the father.
2. On the other hand, I feel certain Selina could have arranged to get pregnant by him during the "missing year." For instance, she could have used artificial insemination, or she could have hopped on a jet plane and flown off to whatever distant city he was currently revisiting, and they could have shared a passionate night together before she flew back home.

The end of Infinite Crisis takes place almost a week after Superboy-Prime's attempt to restart the universe. DC has said that I beleive. My hypothesis is that after a short while he realised that Gotham City still needed a protector while he was away and returned for a month to train Harvey Dent. During this time he impregnated Catwoman and the ghost of Crispus Allen found out who he was.

In my opinion she's both good and bad.she's good b/c she helps Batman sometimes when he's in trouble but she's bad since she commits crimes

That Batman would unknowingly father a child is beyond plausible to me. I don't think he would allow something as major as that to happen without his knowledge. Unless Batman was under control, I don't think he would willingly copulate without either a) protection or b) pulling out early.

No way this child is Bruce's since it's completely out of character or if it is, he knows about it and was a willing participant.

Well, you're wrong. Read "Son of the Demon", which has been put back into continuity. He had a child with Talia that he didn't know about, and he'll be coming back in the next Batman arc.
