The teaser is now available, and there is some controversy over it's...quality. Here's a thread for every member of the SHH! board to rate it, and give a better understanding of what the fan base thinks of the teaser.

I went with average but there can't be much in the way of polished footage at this point. I will say that is very cool to see anything at all. It kind of makes the idea of the movie a little more "real."

It definitely makes the idea of the movie more real. I like that it makes the film look "serious" and that there is definitely a threat there.

it serves the purpose of a teaser....gives us the hint of a robot and lets us know that a Transformers movie is being made.

8, not bad, but could be better.
I liked the last shot and Transformers title, it was impressive.

3...only because of the cool transforming logo.

Did anybody find the teaser for Hulk also vastly superior to this? And that also didn't even show the Hulk himself.

I say 7 not even close to Spider-Man 3.

Exactly why this is a very bad teaser. Even showing a split second of a Transformer, this didn't excite me one bit.

Damn that blows..I gave it a 2, only because it even exists.
I thought the teaser site was better..that might be a better teaser to show at theaters, with the robot emblem behind earth...also the "OUR WORLD, THEIR WAR" Quote was pretty cool...In fact I don't think anyone's gonna pay attention in theaters until the TF logo is displayed..
The space video of the machine landing dragged on a couple seconds short, but hey,it's a teaser so oh well.

8. I enjoyed it. I like teasers that are like mini movies. ..except logo teasers. And you don't know what it is till the very end. I love teasers like that.

I gave it a 6. It was alright, nothing really special. they could have atleast shown Megatron's face at the end.

I gave it a 3, i needed alot more footage to get hyped up about it
MEH! is what i gave it.
The transforming title was pretty cool. but i felt this trailer really bland, boring, and really had no excitement in it until the title came and transformed. the mars thing and only warning we had just didn't work for me. so yeanoe =/
MEH!
wasn't anything special..
like someone else said, it wouldn't capture anyones attention until the title comes and transforms and all that. oh well.. =/

Meh.... I'll go with 6. It wasn't bad, just kind of dull.
But I'm still cautiously looking forward to the movie, since this teaser seemed to have almost nothing to do with it. :o ;)

As a teaser it served its purpose and got me really excited for the film, I gave it a 9 (wasn't better than the SM3 teaser but it still got me giddy for the film).
nosebleed.

It isn't any worse than the PotC teaser. But I am very optimistic for the movie.

like it's been said before, the transforming logos was the best part of the teaser, but the trailer will def be better.

Transformers is a live-action movie. With the TF's being CGI characters.

My friends who know little-to-nothing about Transformers, other than they used to watch the old cartoon every once in a while loved the Teaser. They thought it was awesome and loved the whole concept of it. However, some friends who know more about TF's thought it was a bit boring and/or 'meh'.

The only disappointing thing about the teaser was the shape of the robot. It looked like a Bionicle figure, not a transformer.

Gave it a 4, doesn't really make me want to see the film, but I can wait to see what the real trailer will be like.
It would have been nice instead of seeing that split second transformer, maybe as the rovers camera panned around you se Megatrons face, for a couple of seconds and then his hand comes into view and crushes the camera...to me that would have been much better.

All we got was a shadow - boring.
The shadow of the Bionicle/Transformer seemed to move without Fluidity too - moved more like an 80's breakdancer doing the robot.
I wonder if Michael Bay will be making a "My little pony" film after this.

The spidey trailer at least showed us
A: The suit.
B. Hobogoblin.
C. Sandman
D. WTF is going down.
E. Eddie Brock
F. They are staying with the Comic Canon. The Church, the bell, the ripping off of suit.
The TF trailer was like a stripper a *&^ktease. All it showed was a silohette of TF ... whoopie. It sure was a teaser trailer. I'm now more excited for Spidey 3 than TF.

I'm surprised so many people expected more from this teaser. They've only been filming for like a month. I wasn't expecting any major shots of the TFs until the first major theatrical trailer

Considering that we're talking about pop culture icons and what's riding on this movie, the studio will probably release images at a trickle ala the Hulk. They probably don't want to give the whole look away to soon. No doubtthe biggest thing on everyone's mind will be "what do they look like?"

two different things......
Spiderman 3 is already a big franchise and had already spent a few months filming. The point of the Spiderman 3 teaser was to let us know the Black spiderman suit was in it.
