Anyways, I just read Gamespot's latest preview and oh boy....
I'm going to try to pack this thread with previews, pictures, info, movies, etc, so you guys and gals feel free to contribute, hmmkay?

Dead Rising follows the harrowing tale of Frank West, an overly zealous freelance photojournalist on a hunt for the scoop of a lifetime. In pursuit of a juicy lead, he makes his way to a small suburban town only to find that it has become overrun by zombies. He escapes to the local shopping mall, thinking it will be a bastion of safety but it turns out to be anything but. It will be a true struggle to survive the endless stream of undead, but players will have full reign of a realistic shopping center, utilizing anything they find to fight off the flesh-hungry mob and search for the truth behind the horrendous epidemic. The variety of different stores in the mall offers players an endless supply of resources including vehicles, makeshift weapons and more. Nah, the real time depends on how you play. The game will end in 3 hours if you just stand around in a closet or something, but it'll be longer if you actually do stuff. But I hope they put in a setting that lets you choose when you want the game to end, because that would rock. Not anything like an hour or two, but maybe 12 or 24 hours.

Chuck Norris points are easier to get than WHF points too. To get 1 CNP (Chuck Norris point) all you have to do is round house kick someone. Doesn't have to be technically perfect or powerful it just has to connect. You get 5 CNP is the person your round housing is a Chinese guy. 5 bonus points if said Chinese guy proceds to hand you a plate full of your ass with all the trimmings after you kick him.

Honestly, looking cool was the sole think Nighy had going for him. Rush looked cool and, more importantly, WAS cool. Besides, for someone who was supposed to be the devil himself, Davy was pretty damn underwhelming. He's no Barbossa, and thats damn sure. :up:

I played the lost planet demo on the oxm dvd...its pretty fun, fast and frantic (though a little harder than I thought it would be...snow pirates with rocket launchers are b*tches.)

It reminds me a lot of The Thing, Aliens and Starship Troopers, which is a very good thing.

One awesome bit has you going in an underground structure, like a parking lot, that is crawling with monsters and you have to wipe out the nest. your flashlight pics up the crawling monstrosities shadows and your gunfire lights them up, and it has some of the best explosions and fluid animations of the bigger boss characters I have ever seen.

I can't ****ing wait for dead rising though!!!! I WANT IT NOW :up: :mad:
