MTV Spider-Man

Does anyone know what happened to the series on MTV? It had one season which i absolutley loved, then just disappeared. Obviously it was cancelled, i just want to know why.:spidey:

I heard lots of crap about it getting a second season back on MTV, then I saw news that it would be shifted to Cartoon Network, then it just kind of ...vanished.

There's a thread on it somewhere. I know they had some character copy right issues, I think that's why they created so many new villians.I'm not sure

I enjoyed it and own the complete season.

Yah, I can only imagine how amazing Sandman could be in an aniamted series. All the sand stuff he could do would be better than what he could do in the movie or even inthe comics.

You know I was wondering the same thing. I loved that show. I think it was the best animated Spider-man show ever. They shoudl really bring it back!!!
But I think they didn't because some legal thing happened between Marvel and MTV... :(

I just watched my copy and i still love it. It has everything the movies should have. Comedy, romance and cool super villains. im also glad MTV didnt draw the characters to look like the actors. Whew.

Cause when the Spider-Man movie(James Cameron version) was supposed to come out around that time, the villains were gonna be Electro and Sandman. For some reason they didnt want them to appear in TAS because of them appearing in the movie. Even though later on Electro appeared in the last season, though it wasent MAx Dillon.

If there was an Ultimate Spider-man show, would you like the episodes to be the same as the comics, or different?

Follow the comics but deviated a little could be okay. The problem is that some shows try to mess with the characters way too much. As long as the show is rooted in the ultimate universe and the charcters are true I say story lines are change.

augh. i loved this series.
apparently the show wasn't getting enough views, that's when MTV axed it. i remember there being this thread where everyone was outraged, partly because MTV gave it that crap time slot to begin with. there was word of a second season, but that disappeared as well as a move to cartoon network that never happened. : (
