OK so I used to shop in my LCS but I moved so started getting my comics off the internet. However, after a couple got bent I started going back to my local store but it's a forbidden planet. NO DISCOUNT FOR PULL LISTS!!! How harsh is that, anyone else shop at incredibly tight-fisted store such as this?

The only discount I get is twenty dollars of books free after every $100 I spend. I'd probably get it more often if I actually had a regular pull list instead of the sporadic purchasing of trades I usually do.

I pretty much get 20% of each comic if there's more than five on my pull-list. Then again, my pull-list still needs shipping, so it pretty much evens out.

10% off. Its criminal not to offer a discount for pull lists.

Forbidden Planet isn't realyl a great comic book shop though, they make more money off toys, games and dvds than comics. So therefore the people tend not to know about comics or don't really care.
I'm sure there will be a comicbook shop around you somewhere.

I live in cambridge where if it's not a dusty old first edition of some shakespeare play no-one wants to know (and no I'm not slagging shakespeare, I went to the same school as him, albeit a few hundred years later!)

Hey, I live near Cambridge, The Forbidden Planet on Burleigh Street is poor. I pop in there to pick up the odd issue every now and again when I want to check something out, but generally get all my Comics from Ace Comics via a subscription. They are in Colchester, provide excellent service and their mail order is second to none, I'd reccommend them.

that's the forbidden planet that has my pull list. Their selection of trade's isn't bad but when it comes to comics they suck. Don't like mail order though
