Should Lizard talk? Some versions of him have the abbillity to speak, other don't. I would like to see him talk, so he can taunt Spider-man. Please Discuss.

ummmm maybe in a lizardy voice.... if you know what I mean. Like a voice that is barely audable (sp?). Kind of like Venom's voice in the Ultimate Spider-man game. Either that or some growling and stuff.
But speaking would be very cool....

Whether he talks or not, I'll like it

I could swing either way on this one.
That said, if he does speak it should only be in short lines that rarely occur (Example - "Ssssssspider-Man". ;)), to fit the "savage" Lizard persona.... I can't really see the intelligent Lizard transferring as well to the cinema, as the more vicious incarnations of the character provide a much more dramatic constrast to the intelligent and relatively calm Curt Connors.

Yeah he should speak, if they can get Rob Zombie to play his voice like they did with Spider-Man The Animated Series on MTV, the would be perfect threw my eyes.

No way Lizard should speak. He should just be a mindless monster. Maybe a deep hiss once in a while or a few growls, but that's it.

I would like to see him progress, maybe talk at first, but then slowly slip into full beastie-mode. :)
It would either be really cheesy to see a scary lizard-man talk, or insanely scary. :O

The progressing is a good idea. Early on his body will still be human shaped just with scales and he can't say complete sentences or something. I just don't want the Lizard from the 60's cartoon where he sends alligators after Spidey.

Proggressing sounds awesome. for the climax battle he could be a total insane beast. And if Kraven was in it to capture him, since they kill of villians, Beast-Lizard could kill Kraven.

I like that. It would present opportunities to flesh out Connor's internal struggles to control Liz.

I think he should be able to speak in simple terms.
The poll sucks because it closed before anybody could really vote on it.

I don't know if a progress would be good or not, haven't decided. A gradual transformation would work more like "The Fly" than a Jekyll and Hyde, and I would prefer for Connors to discover that he has been doing terrible things as this creature and have a real problem for it...the more human the Lizard looks the more one would assume that Dr. Connors has some control over what he is doing, and bad guys are always better when they aren't COMPLETELY bad.
I think it would work best if the Lizard starts out more like a wild animal, full transformation and then only speaks (in a voice fitting the look of the character) when he sees something/someone he cares for a great deal (wife, son) and even once he finds out that Peter and Spider-Man are one in the same, since the relationship between Connors and Peter is probably going to be a father/son dynamic. It would make for a nice moment of realisation having the doctor's personality and memories come to him in Lizard form before that side of his personality slips away again into the Lizard, and of coure he then tries to take Spidey apart...
It really would make for a great moral dilemma, Dr. Connors unable to control his actions as the lizard and being horrified at the things he has done. Peter having to fight this creature that he knows is a man that he has a great respect for...that should be enough to get Tobey to come back for another! *haha*

Of course he should talk!
Look how well a talking Lizard works with that cute little Gecko in those insurance commercials...
If THEY can pull it off, imagine what a director like Raimi could come up with given a 100 million dollar (+) budget!

If I want a lizard documentry then no I wouldn't want him to talk but this is fantasy first and foremost. Therefore, I do indeed want scale skin to speak but not too much because there's so much going on with him. I want to see lizard all primal and most of his intelligence shining through his actions instead of through speach for most of the time.
