Superman Serials on DVD?

Are the Superman Columbia serials planned for a DVD release this year? They looked as if they were restored on the new documentary...I'm looking forward to seeing more of Supes turning into a cartoon when he flies!

Wow, there is really no one that knows anything about this? Is there an old post about the serials that I missed?

I got them on VHS when they was shown on AMC about 10 years ago. I got both serials. I would like for them to be on DVD. On the documentary someone said that it was a bad program because you did get to see Superman really fly. It was just a cartoon. Yea, it may be bad but they are considered (both serials) as the best serials they ever made. I love them.

So, no one is planning on releasing these? Both Batman serials were released last year, I thought it would be the same with Superman. Perhaps the Batman DVD's didn't sell like Sony expected, either that or someone else owns the rights to those.

Earlier this year, this site had a list of every Superman DVD release that was coming out this year. And the Serials were listed as coming out...I think in either Quarter 3 or 4...but now, the release schedule doesn't seem to be there any more...but unless something has changed, then the Serials should be out later this year.
