I love the idea... but its a ****ing joke. The comics would be engagin but its impossible to enjoy cuz half the time you're wondering how does batman a mere human survive against superman's foes. Its more like superman baby sits batman series... its sad. shazam N hawkman vs Batman and superman? easy victory for supes by himself... but batman could get killed by either in all reality. I love batman to death and its a shame to see him a rooftop hero try to tackle galatical problems.

It's called "comics" and "suspension of disbelief."
If Batman were real, he'd be dead or crippled (at best) on his second night out. How would a mere human (as you put it) survive against several armed thugs in real life?

suspension of belief is what i use for a man in a batsuit taking out a gang of thugs
but surviving against shazam or hawkman? i need to go insane to believe that

Hawkman sucks...Batman defeated him just by not sucking...he created a not sucking field, in which everything that sucks is knocked unconcious...that's also how he could beat the entire green lantern corps if he needed to :o

his power comes from a ring, and he's allergic to the color yellow...sorry, GL sucks...except JLU GL, he was a bad ass, but that had less to do with his powers and more to do with the fact that he was an ex-marine who'd kick anyones ass regardless of his gay powers :o

with prep time, Batman can defeat God. He can defeat just about anybody with prep time....except Swamp Thing.

but Swamp Thing is like, god of the swamps, so couldnt Batman defeat him like he could God?
Also, Constantine has kicked ST around quite a bit, so are you saying Batman couldnt defeat Constantine?

Dude....Batman can kick the **** out of anybody. He'll find a way to defeat Swamp Thing. Maybe defeat him by throwing clean water on him?
Bat-God, fear his smite.

well, the first time they encountered each other, Swamp Thing layed Batman out with one punch, only becuase Swamp Thing couldn't speak and tell Batman the situation, and Batman thought he was some evil monster and attacked him. This was in Swamp Thing #7, 1974. And i believe that the Swamp Thing series went by using real time. So when Alan Moore took over in 1984, in the comic's world, it was also 1984
So, Batman would have been then been aware that there was this Swamp Thing creature around, so he could have then developed a possible way to destory it if need be. He had atleast 12 years to think of something.
.
In Swamp Thing #53, Swamp Thing turns Gotham into a huge rain forest, upon learning that the GCPD arrested Abby, and refused to let her go. Batman's pissed and has to take out Swamp Thing. Batman even says that he encountered ST before(ST#7), and that now, he's far more powerful than last time. It's rather evident too, seeing as how in ST#7, he was just a plant man with no abilities, and now he turned Gotham into a savage Garden of Eden.
So Batman tries to take him out...with super weed killer. It kills the one Swamp Thing, but ST regenerates, and clones himself about 8 times, and pummels Batman. 12 years aware that there's a Swamp Creature out there and openly admits that it's far more powerful and all he can come up with is weed killer? Come on. Not even Lex Luthor, with participation from the D.D.I and their Scrambler gun(something to prevent ST from sending his conciousness to different parts of the world) could destory the Swamp Thing.
Im aware of another Batman/Swamp Thing meeting in the Swamp Thing series in the 90's, but i'm not sure what happened in that issue, becuase i havent gotten there yet.
maybe my "Batman can whoop God's ass" statement was stupid, but it was supposed to be funny, nothing more. But as far as im aware, defeating Swamp Thing is practically impossible. Not even the Parliament of Trees could defeat him.

And last issue, Supes had to fight giant popcorn kernels.
...Superman's writing really isn't top notch at the moment, if you get my drift.

both things are classic Prankster, saying that's not good is like saying the riddler using riddles is a sign that Batmans writing isnt top notch :o

Is this fight you're talking about in an actual series? Cause this is like pitting Prince Valiant against Conan the Barbarian.

So you managed to stay on topic for... four posts. Awesome.
Anyway, though. Did you bother reading any of the series, or just decided to go ahead with *****ing about it?
