i dont know about you guys, but i think that there are some stupid villains affiliated with batman, killer croc, mr freeze for example. I do love batman, but i think that this new franchise should just stick to the riddler, the joker, the penguin, and maybe catwoman. i think that Nolan should just use the good ones listed above and maybe think of some new ones. The mad hatter and the return of scarecrow wouldnt be bad either if they were done right. Maybe i will get ridiculed for this, but its just what i think.

I want to say Calenderman, but he was done well by Jeff Loeb so he gets a pass. I have some unreasonable fondness for Maxie Zeus so he is out. Probably either The Riddler or The Penguin.

The Penguin, I'll admit, I don't like him much at all. He was good in Batman Returns, where they really stretched the character from what he was originally in the comics, so even the Returns Penguin isn' that great for die-hard comic fans.

Maxie Zeus, Killer Croc, Amygdala, Anarky... The Man Bat did come to mind but mainly because it would be difficult for the character to work on film.

I love most of the villians you don't like. Personally I usually prefer the newer villians. Joker is of course my favirote but other then him I don't much care for the orginals. I can't stand Penguin and don't much care for Riddler. Catwomen is only OK when she is used in a smaller role. My favirote villians are
Joker
Ras Al ghoul
Bane
Killer Croc
Freeze
Scarecrow

Mr Freeze. granted If they took him and had him cryogenically freeze his wife and he was just a doctor gone mad or something i wouldnt mind, but ice guns and walking around in a space suit is a bit too much for me.
Maybe if instead of needing cold to live the suit is less tacky and just performs life support.

i didnt really like poison ivy toomuch either.
they should stick to normal people that are just kind of insane, like the joker and the riddler and catwoman and screcrow and mad hatter.
the ones that have some deformation are kinda dumb.
for example:
the penguin
poison ivey
the joker did have a defrmation, but his was kind of believable, unlike poison ivy who fell in a bunch of ivy. you would just have a bad rash, not turn into uma thurman.
and then there are the characters that are just plain dumb.
bane
killer croc
man bat
mr. freeze
and there are probably more but i dont care enough to think about it

It's hard to say...the Animated Series took alot of villians that are normally rediculous and made them awesome. Mr. Freeze for example...I think the reason you guys don't like him is because you still have that Schwarzenegger(spelled it right booyah) taste in your mouth lol. If he was done as he was in the series...there would be no worries..we'd be getting this ice cold killer we've always wanted, and have the right backstory...I believe his wife, was permanantly killed when they shut down his freezing capsule that contained her, and in the process turning him into Mr. Freeze...

Mr Freeze is an awesome villain. He's actually a villain I want to see from Nolan as he can rectify the whole B&R fiasco. Batman TAS did Freeze spot on, I know Nolan can match it or even exceed it.
But I wouldn't ever want to see:
Black Mask (I have never liked the guy, I have always thought he has been written awfully except by Brubaker in his Catwoman run, but he's a character I have never really gotten into).
Maxie Zeus (He's a character the Batman movies can just do without).
Killer Moth
Penguin

But if I hear anyone say Freeze's story is better in TAS, let me state this for the record : He has the same story than in B&R - it's only campless. This is quite limited as a character possibility. Hence, he's my least favorite. In contrast, the Joker is always mysterious (at least in comics) and have plenty of possibilities and original plots with him. So can Two-Face and even Penguin in his crime committing. But Freeze has always a dead wife and ice. Boring, if I may. So, what will any fan of Freeze will add to save him now? Penguin's duller than him? I'm waiting.

Besides all of the truly horrible Batman villains (Egghead, The Red Barron, etc.), my least favorite, of the more major baddies, would have to be Mr. Freeze. His whole emo thing for his wife gets really annoying after a decade or so. I'm not saying a guy shouldn't mourn for his wife, but it seems as though that's all the character is about and, well, that's just not terribly interesting to me.

No way should Nolan or anybody make up new villians for a Batman film. Batman has the greatest collection of villians out of every single superhero out there, the only other hero that comes close would be Spider-Man
Sure there are some really dumb villians out there but they are there so the villians we all know and love don't get to be too much, and the same story done over and over again in the comics. You need your breaks from the major players, thus the making of some silly minor villians, like a Calender Man, Film Freak, or Crazy Quilt. But sticking in the spirit of this thread. Villians that I really can't stand, and I would never want seen in a Batman live action film would be:
Least Favorite Villians:
1. Harley Quinn
2. Mr. Freeze
3. Maxie Zeus
4. Lock-Up

I agree with you about Mr.Freeze and that is why he is one of my least favorite villians. He has/had alot of potential but it all comes back to the wife and the mouring which is really enough. Enough is Enough, the character needs to evolve and perhaps he would be crossed off my least favorite villians list

I think they should definitely include Catwoman in the new Batman Begins series! They have to buy back the character's copyright from the Halle Berry series or whatever and please PLEASE do her justice! She would be fantastic! Also, they could definitely do a fantastic Poison Ivy in the new films, really tap into the darkness of her character, and lose the camp drag queen that Uma Thurman made her lol!
