I worked on Primes head in the promo pic a little. I will try to do some more changes like getting rid of the flames and change some minor details so consider it a work in progress.

the head looks ok but it was still a little lifeless to me so I changed the eyes. also I made the "ears" point upwards like in the recent Empire-pic.

I updated the pic above. worked on the torso a bit more (not as much flames anymore:cwink: ). looks a bit crappy but you get the idea. Ill try to improve the "paintjob" later.

Good effort, but kinda sucked (no offense)

The "foot-stomping" and "beeping" sounds were overshadowing the transformers theme. I had to turn up my speakers quite loud to hear the theme in the background through the stomping & beeping.

The image of Prime I am referring to is the one that people are manipping the flames off of, with his gun in hand. i brought in the arms, made them smaller, and made the legs bigger to give him more humanoid-like proportions and less chicken/ape like. i also repaired his face and removed his lipstick.

Eh, sorry. Should have posted the text with it:


So then, I was asked by Secret machine to do this artwork. Its not exactly how I was asked to do it but its not far off. Smile

It would use the same tank as Brawl with maybe a few more modifcations but not many. I think this image helps back up the argument that the G1 designs could have been revisited and tweaked to look more like they'd work in the real world.

This Shockwave has been drawn OVER his original toon image and would serve as a nice slketch to throw on the tabke and say "this guy could look good in the movie. Shall we take him furtehr?" Smile Smile Smile Smile

Now come on guys - If this design was pushed to the level of detail and photo realism the movie nots have - would we accept it in the real world? Or is it still like a cartoon? Smile

Don't forget at the moment its just an hours worth of doodle.

Colour changes in 3 spots and the pattern on his mouth-plate was removed (only because I was lazy to colour it in - wasn't an intentional removal..) No other changes.

People did some nice manips many pages back. I don't have a problem with his mask. I kinda like it. But... the eyes in the released shots look horrible (scary). Hopefully this has been changed.

I was thinking more along the lines of making a 3-D model of my old car [Pontiac GrandAm 1995, dark blue]; however, both requests sound tempting [too bad Bumblebee is in his old diguise, when battling Barricade, because then I could have "killed two birds with one stone" so to speak].
