I had a good day of digging through the back issue boxes at my LCS. I got these for a buck each bagged and boarded. Post your own finds past or present.
Taskmaster #2,#3, and #4
- Wish I could've found the #1. Oh well. I've seen high praise for this mini here and read some scans that were linked from SHH as well.
Marvel Team-Up #8, #9, #10, #11, #12
- Kirkman for a buck. <3
Invincible #4
- Ditto. Even though I've got the trades, the low numbered issues aren't easy finds and I couldn't pass it up for a buck. This is the only one I picked up with that dreaded 90's mindset of 'It's worth $'.
Waid's The Kingdom: Offspring and Son of the Bat
- Plastic Man's son, Offspring is popping up in the DCU as well as Ibn al Xu'ffasch - Bats' boy. Just some cheap character background reading. There's some inspired moments in Son of the Bat and Frank Quitely drew the Offspring issue.

Nice.
My greatest find still stands as a NM copy of Wolverine #146 (Apocalypse the 12) .... in a bargain box for 50p uk ... which works out to about $1.
Didn't get them for a buck but a little bit lower than cover price.
-Bendis/Maleev's initial Daredevil run from #26 to #50
-Roger Stern/John Buscema era Avengers including Once and Future Kang,Under Siege, and Assault on Olympus (these were a buck each)

I've never had much luck in my LCS.:( What I consider my best finds were Giant Killer by Brereton, I didn't get the full run but most of it and the monster "dictionary".

an LCS that I don't usually go to is having a sale this month - all back issues 50-75% off. Well, I couldn't pass up on that, so I cleaned them out of their Preacher, Planetary, V For Vendetta, Authority and Sandman

Heh, same at my LCS. My 'best' finds were probably just marvel Team up 4 and 5. Spider-man and Iron Man.

Avengers (vol. 3, which is the Busiek run) #1-49 plus the 1999 and 2001 annual for 50 bucks. So that's under a pop per issue.

Years ago I picked up the Uncanny X-men issue which was Gambits first ever appearance for 25p(approx 50c) in a Waterstones bargain bin. I also picked up almost the complete run of Miracle Man, including the Gaiman ones, as part of a mixed unseen bundle at an auction (I picked up 200 DC comics for about £20.00)

Back in 1982, I was able to pick up about 75 Amazing Spider-Man's from ASM #92 to 180 for 50 cents each.
Sometime in 1983, I was able to get ASM #120 & 121 for $7.50 each.
And around 1984, I was able to get my hands on ASM #3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19 & 20 for less than $200. They all ranged from Very Good to Mint with issue #4 being in Poor condition.

Godammit you found Taskmaster :(
I want
A few years ago I was able to complete my Frank Miller Daredevil collection, paying mostly $3 or $4 each. Most I had to spend was $30 for Elektra's first appearance in DD #168.
Completing Vol. 2 was much more expensive. :(
