After Batman & Robin, should the infamous Joel Schumacher direct another Superhero movie?

Should he? Of course not. Could he? I actually think he could. As long as he has a good set of producers and no studio shouting in his ear to turn into a two-hour commercial for action figures.

He probably could make a decent one, not a dark character though, something along the lines of F4 or something. But no one is gonna hire him.

I think he could.
Has anyone seen Falling Down?
Imagine his version of the Punisher.
Most of his films are dark and serious.
Batman Forever and B&R only got made because the people in charge of the WB were like the asses over a Fox. They didn't care about quality, just wanted $$$.

Depends what sort of superhero movie he's into, I'd like to see him do Ninja Turtle for a change. But stay off from Batman, Spider-man, Superman, X-Men and other big names!

Falling Down is an excellent movie. One of my favorites. I really like all of Schumacher's stuff except the Batman movies. But I heard it wasn't really his fault.

Yeah the wb is as much to blaim of shumacher. I dont know, he at least acknowledges he ****ed up, unlike other directors who made films and said they were gold even when it quickly ended up in the bargin bin.

Similar to what some other posters said, I think he does well with more 'real' or grounded material, such as Falling Down or A Time to Kill.

He's a good director. I'm guessing he might be able to do well with something like Supreme Power, The Shadow, The Spirit, Hitman, Punisher, 100 Bullets, Bite Club, or a superhero comic that is absent of a lot of the gadgets, costumes, etc. like Batman.

If it was offered to him I wouldn't care. As long as he was familiar with source material and didn't have producers/execs breathing down his neck. I think he could do a decent movie.

He's proven himself as a director with other features.

Schumacher made one great superhero movie, and then made one of the most hated movies of all-time as the follow-up.

Really?

Not Phone Booth?

Not The Phantom of the Opera?

He should be directing cars to pull over from the drive-thru while their McNuggets finish cooking.

He could always do a live action movie based on the Saturday Night Live short: The Ambiguously Gay Duo.:D

As long as the movie has lots of pretty flourescent colors, and A LOT of bad choices based on the director, I think he could do another movie

I picked the fourth option.
