I tried this the other day and couldn't get it to work. :( I am now a disgrace to my fellow l33t g33ks :(
Anywho. I tried to sign up under a free AIM screen name, which wouldn't be accepted by the system after five times of trying. I'm now lost and or confused............as usual.
1. Do I need to upload the AIM program or is it necesary?
2. Wiil the site accept me after I load the program?
3. Is there something wrong I did the first time and just not realizing it?
I've never used a messenger program before :( Now I feel dumb.

No. I don't have AIM. Do I need to download it or can I use it straight off the site?

:) You should probably download it, which in your case would take a while I would think.

Yep. A few hours at least. So if I download the program would a setup run from that?

I think www.ebuddy.com works if you don't want to download the program. But I haven't tried it so. Tell me how that goes!

I downloaded the program, and installed it, then it took me to sign for a sn. It's still rejecting me.

Have you actually setup a new AIM id via the AOL AIM website?
Tsunulia

That's what I'm trying to do.

Wait a tic................ The sign up page looks different that it did yesterday......
Are they reformating the page and it's temporarily shut down? There's nothing saying that it is :(
I tried to sign up to the email and the same thing is happening.
My name is fine, but it keeps telling me that these are incorrect or incomplete....
password
security q/a
security check code
Every single time it keeps telling me that they're wrong. I can't figure out why.

Could it be that they are already taken? Have you tried different variations with both?

It's not the name. It's the categories that are screwing up.

It's not the name. It's the categories that are screwing up.
Does the password require numbers in it, or what you put in odd characters like _!$£%^ sometimes that can screw them up

Tsunny, you have the program? Like loaded in front of you, just waiting for a sn?

For the pass, I used a mix of letters and numbers.
I have to reinstall it. I uninstalled it to try again, and right after the reinstallation the program froze.
And it did it again. It freezes at the box where it asks if I want to set it as my default.
