2 possibly stupid questions

So I never used mylar sleeves before, just polythene. I bought some the other day and there's no flaps...am I missing something here, how am I supposed to seal it?

Secondly how, are calcium impregnated boards worth the extra $. The seem kind of expensive but if it makes a difference it might be worth me getting some.

The posters there are much more knowledgeable about collecting and preserving and what not. Posters here are mainly just readers. I've never even heard of a "calcium impregnated" board before

they just seem to argue over whether their copy of silver surfer number one is 9.87563456 or 9.87563454 grading all day. Seriously i thought I was a geek, these are the no sunlight...ever albino breed of geek. The kind that get intimated by and inflatable sexdoll considering it to be "out of their league". I'm scared
