Well, maybe not NOW, but sometime in the near future would be real nice. :)
Simply put, I've noticed recently with the favorite Batman pictures thread, and other roundabout sources that are are a ton of great artists, who really seem to fit well, or could do particularly well on a Batman, or any major title, but have yet to get the opprotunity.
This is a place to simply, well, list them. And see what good talent is being overlooked and all that other good point you should've realized without me telling you about.
In any case, the first artist I'd like to bring up is Karl Moline. He's a sample of his artwork below. It really blew me away when I read "Fray" recently (okay, today:o), and pink and purple highlights aside, I really think he could do some great things on a Batman title. Granted though, he seems to favor drawing women, so Catwoman/BOP/Batwoman would probably be better options.

John Romita Jr.
Adam Huges
John Cassaday
Joe Quesada (Hate what the guy's done to Marvel, but I like his style in Batman pieces that he's done)
Oh, and it would be cool if Lee Berejemo were placed on a regular monthly.

Have you read Sword of Azrael?

Have you read Sword of Azrael?
Firstly... Holy **** it's snipe.
Now that I've got that out of the way... No, I haven't. Is it any good?
JR Jr IMO is best suited for Spider-Man, his art seemed out of place in Wolverine and would be even more out of place in Batman.

I'd actually like to see Simone Bianchi do interior art for Batman. He's doing the covers for the current Dini run, and he did covers for the FACE THE FACE run.
I love the covers, but I'd love to see him do interior art for Batman books.

ChrisBaleBatman

No, were they as good as his covers?
Bermejo needs an extended run on Batman, I heartily agree.
In that old BOF interview he says he's had a dream Batman project in mind for years that he'd write and draw all by himself.

I love Cassaday, but please don't put him on Batman.Would you want a Grant Morrisson or Paul Dini Batman coming out whenever Cassaday felt like it? You want it to come out whenever, like planetary? I'm surprised that he is gonna try to make AXM monthly come september. I hope the book makes it monthly cause I love it but I'm not yet believin' it. I just picked up SupermanBatman "Enemies among us" and Van Sciver does an awesome job. The comic seems to promising as well. To tell you the truth, Jae Lee needs to be brought back. He is amazing, and perfect for Batman. Jae Lee Paul Jenkins Batman was one Batman's best.

I agree. The dude draws a killer batman but my only problem is he puts on a movie style batman cowl with the traditional spandex with underwear. In my opinion, they don't go well together. If he can draw the body like the batsuit int he movies, they would look much better.

Agreed.
But, in his defense....I think DC wouldn't allow that.
I read an interview with Bermejo on BOF where he's said that he'd do the Batsuit with alot of armor....and he'd be told to edit it. So, I'm guessing those covers were okay with the cowl and cape.....as long as the rest of Batman looked like the comic version somewhat.
Atleast, that's my guess.

I'm just wondering why some people want Hughes? While he might be the best artist for female characters, his Batman isn't that good.
Gene Ha isn't a big name but IMO his work is amazing.

I guess that Moline guy would be all right.
Personally I'm looking forward to what Kubert can do.
But does anybody else miss Doug Mahnke? I sure do, he had a kick ass style for Batman.

I can only see JRJR on Hulk, Wolverine or Spider-Man.
My choice for cover artists would be: Bianchi, Del'Otto, Hughes and Bermejo. Bianchi could do interior art as well.
Finch's work on Moon Knight has been impressive.
I'd like to see a return from Brain Bolland on Batman. Whether its cover's or interior art it really wouldn't matter. Bolland on Batman would be quite nice.

Steve Dillion would rock. His PUNISHER art is incredible.
And, I suggest you read his interiors. I first saw his pin-ups and didn't really dig them. But, his art really grew on me reading his storytelling.

Bernet is Spanish, so he clearly started in the European market. And Goran is probably Croatian.
And for the record, Moebius was for a long time the artist on Blueberry.
