Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight (65-68) "Going Sane"

With "All Star..." I found out that, well Frank Miller is still a great writer, but he lost the point of Batman, it was almost a "Sin City meets Batman" for me, but I will continue to read it, since I really like the drawings of Jim Lee.

With "Going Sane" I was surprised for how good it was. Indeed I enjoyed it a lot, it was almost a continuation of "The Killing Joke", it was a very good read, I loved it. The themes this arc contained were represented very well, and explores the relationship between Batman and The Joker greatly. Also I liked the parts were Batman thinks about himself, the city he protects, and his parents. Very good read.

And with "War on Crime" I found a nice story by Paul Dini. It was a very human and emotional story, and with the drawings of Alex Ross, it was a fantastic experience. I liked the first part, where there is a re-enactment of Batman #1. I recomend it for everyone. This one makes clear that Paul Dini really know how to write Batman.

I read Fear Agent #27, the last issue of "I Against I." It was a long wait. It's been a great run, but after so many months of waiting for a single issue, the flavor has worn off a bit. It was still good, though. Eden's reaction to seeing Heath for the first time caught me off guard. The short story at the end was fantastic, as usual.

I had bought these a looooonnng time ago, and never read them. Now, I'm catching up on a ton of reading here. The "Enemies Among Us" arc seemed unneccessarily long. I think it could have been half as long, and more effective a story for it. The jumps in different artist kinda hurt it too, just because I always find it tough for it to happen in the middle of an arc. Matthew Clark looks like a promising artist, though. I was unfamilar with his work until now.

In the middle of Pat Lee arc. Which, of course, means robots. Lots...of robots.

Superman/Batman #35 -to- #49.

The "A.I." arc, I didn't like. I don't Pat Lee, so maybe that has something to do with it. But, I didn't like the writing too much either.

The "Torment" arc was pretty good, I thought. I liked it alot. The artwork was hit or miss at times for me. The thing between Bekka and Batman was great.

"Darklight" was a good read. I really enjoyed the artwork, and Batman scaring the **** out of Doc Light.

"K" my favorite read in Superman/Batman for quite a while. I loved the arc, from start to finish. Davis did great work, and I really enjoyed the writing. Especially the ending.

What I've read of Dini's 'TEC stuff, I've enjoyed.

The Walking Dead #1 and #2. Damn good reads.

Well i now own all 8 volumes of Hellboy and i love them all. :D Kinda shame on Vol 7 & 8 how not all stories were drawn by Mignola. :( Tho most of the artists we're great eitherway, some of the coloring was just too bright compared to Mignola's Black + Red color scheme going on his stories.

I was pleasantly surprised that Xerxes elite soldiers weren't mutants like in the film, which makes me scratch my head on Zack Snyder, but one thing i don't get: Why did Miller make Spartans half naked? Was it for the masculinity? I mean Spartans did wore battle armor right? So yeah i'm really just wondering.
