I know you guys are creative, and I'm guess there's a few who, like me, can see themselves on the show? Does anyone have some characters, either powered or support, that they'd add to the show?

His name is Yorick

A casual guy who really doesn't do much to be noticed.
Upon playing baseball one day he gets a high five and steps up to bat with the bases loaded. He apparently can absorb energy and spins throwing this energy everywhere. In doing this he hits the ball out of the town. He can also drain energy out of people affecting their emotions. he doesn't know much about it though

I really wanna see a hero with super strength. Superhero groups always feel incomplete without the muscle.

If I was on the show, my name would be Garden Oscem; my ability would be influence. I would bend mentally weak people to do my bidding or will. This would serve my purpose well, because I'd definitely go the route of a villain, but I'd seem like an ordinary individual (no ostensible gifts/talents).
[The only way to check my influence would be to break my concentration, but if people are unawares, I could practically influence people who aren't strong proponents of something]

I'd like to see the introspective on what makes a character like that tick, hence Garden Oscem. . .Ardeng Scemo. . .Regadn Somec. . .Danger Comes

thought this would be an interesting character esp for character development

name: David
Power: bio electricity
He's a typical beach bum who has a goal to be a pro surfer. he tragicly discovered his powers in a horrific accident. during a surf competition, he was attacked by a shark. getting dragged underwater he fights for his life, until a burst of a electric pulses are released from his hands. frying the shark and everyone in the ocean within radius. as the bodys wash up on shore, people on the beach are left confused. confused how everyone died and how everyone except one who is just unconscious [david]. When david learned of the competition incident by news in the hospital and found out forhimself later that he was the one who electrocuted everyone by his newly found powers, he vowed to never use his powers and to surf again.

I'll just use me and say I'd have the power to distort reality. It wouldn't be so much changing reality as I would be manipulating what people saw. It'd be like halucinating. For instance making someone think a branch I was holding in my hand was actually a gun or that a boulder was an Ice Cream truck. Things like that.

This kind of power would probably be suited to someone a lot of imagination and since they already have an artist/painter, I'd make this character a con artist.

My character would be named Marcus. My power is that I have overactive mitochondria in my cells that produce way too much energy. It gives me nearly limitless stamina and endurance, but also prevents me from sleeping for any extended period of time. Later it allows me to release a bio-electric blast.

Hmmm...

I think I'd add a struggling female college student (financially, socially and academically) who gains the ability to turn completley invisible. This of course, leads to a great deal of consquences as she finds herselves immersed in situations she otherwise would not have been able to get into.

Of course, if I was on, I'd have some purely destructive power that I'd be afriad to use, though I would learn that even death has a proper application.

He would be able to turn invisible without knowing itand he can makes other things insible by touching them or wearing them., while invisible all the sounds he makes are turned off. he can also phase through things but he is very weak at it. the first time he uses his powers is by accident he wakes gets dressed and goes to class( by the way he is a college student) when the proffessor calls his name for attendance he says his name the teacher then calls his name again so this time he yells that he is here and it affects no one. The proffessor then puts him as absent and he doesn't know why, confused he trieds to catch the teacher's attention by getting up and walking to him and asking about what happened to the attendance teacher does nothing. still very confused he knocks something over as it falls and breaks everyone looks up and sees him staying there. his name is dwight forgot to mention that.

his powers work until he makes himself noticeable.

So I can create a hero or just post as if i'm the hero in general? Anyway.....

His name would be Nick Mason and he would be a type of mariner (seaman). He would live in California and be an athlete in surfuring. He'd be a college student and kind of have his own problems he's dealing with. As a kid he was swiming in a pool and was playing a game where they hold their breathes for serveral minutes. Nick was able to do it for more than an hour and realized his ability. As he grew older his capacity to hold his breathe grew to the point where he could breather under water. As well as swiming fast at several speeds and even conecting with the creatures of the deep.

if i were on the show i'd have the super ability to realize i and the world i lived in was nothing more than a world created by Tim Kiring ripped from x-men and Rising Stars and produced by NBC thus creating a paradox causing the entire universe to implode on itself.

now thats power.

Eddie Brock

i would be "The Speedster"
i'm fairly suprised that Heroes has a guy who paints the future and a woman with a split personality, but they don't have a superspeeder...it seems like such an elementary power

Not that it's a character who represents me....But I'd like to see a Fisherman who's starting to loose money. His crew quits and he can barely support his family. So he goes further out to where there's supposed to be a great fishing area. And his son goes with him to help since he has no crew now. But it's storming and his boat begins to sink. His son is dying trapped in the ship drowning...

The old man realizes he has hydrokinesis, because he begins to reverse the waves, and send the water away from the boat.

The camera zooms out as the son opens the door and has an expression of shock on his face. We see a 500 foot wall of water on either side. The old man parted the ocean to save his son.

You guys are pulling out some pretty cool characters... and great stories... I have to admit the character that I would rather add to the show isn't very much like me... but not totally against.

I also wouldn't worry too much about what powers are on the show, I think Heroes is making it very clear it's not a Superhero show, which, incidentally, firmly seperates it from Rising Stars and X-Men.

Mine would be;

Name: Kaleb

Power: Has the ability to absorb the molecular structure of anything he touches, his body than changes itself to match that structure i.e. touches stone becomes stone, steel becomes steel, water becomes water, etc... However after change occurs outer layer of skin remains normal in appearance. He can remove this skin to reveal his changed body underneath. As he changes he also gains limited super strength. And due to his bodys ability to change he has a limited regenerative capability as well.

Backstory: Kaleb does not know who his parents are, nor does he care. Abandoned at birth, and raised in foster homes for the intitial pasrts of his life. He ran away at age 9 and has been alone on the streets ever since. Now at age 20 he wanders the country just trying to survive. No aspirations of being anything more than he is. And simply wishes continuing in existance........and cause as much aggrivation for those who deserve it as he can.

What do you think?

You have to actually make your characters connect and be relevant to the show.

StorminNorman
10-18-2006, 12:21 AM
My character's name would be "Stormin" Norman Bishop

Power: Has the ability to manipulate the flow of electricity. He can short circuit electronics, use it to attack enemies, or even (eventually) make him appear to be a giant ball of power. He can not, however, create it (like Pyro) he can only manipulate it.

Basically my character would be a mix of the Giddy Geekdom of Hiro, with the teenage angst of Claire, with the nice-guy personality of Peter mixed with a bit of the ambition in Nathan. It would be me...with Superpowers.

Fred_Fury

I'd be a highly elite super soldier that hunts down people with powers - DEAD or alive.... then uses gene therapy to gain a toned down version of their powers.

I'de be a villian that you were never really clear what his powers were until way late in the season, and then you go "oh, well no ****!"

Probably named something slick like uh...Hado.

Make them relevant to the story you say? hmm, since we're still in the first half of the first season it may be a little difficult. But my character Kaleb (above) will make a connection with Claire, after events of the first season, Claire is disillusioned about who to trust and what to do, and embarks on a road trip of self-discovery. She ends up in a road stop bar, where she draws the unwanted attention of some large thugs. One thing leads to another and the thugs attack her, leading Kaleb, who is sitting at the bar, to intervene obsorbing a paper-clip he takes out the group of thugs. However things get out of hand and others pull out guns and open fire, Kaleb grabs Claire and puts her behind him. The bullets rittle Kalebs body revealing the steel underneath his skin. And the road-trip adventures of Claire and Kaleb begin :)

Agent Thermal
10-23-2006, 01:45 PM
Mine would be quite similar to the abilities I originally ascribed to my "Agent Thermal" character...I'll have to adapt the backstory to the Heroes mythos, though...

Name: James Shaw

Powers: Can drastically heat or cool down the surface of his skin (or even within his body) in any area he chooses - for instance, he can heat up his hand to thousands of degrees, to the point that it could melt through just about anything it touches; metal, stone, or otherwise. He can also cool down his hands to the point that they can freeze/cold-burn anything they touch. To prevent damaging his clothing, he usually limits these powers to his hands or any other exposed part. He can't feel temperatures at all (otherwise, he'd suffer a lot of pain) and his physiology is obviously not adversely affected by extreme temps either - this results in his being resistant to many types of injuries. Furthermore, due to his ability to heat up the insides of his body, he can kill many bacteria and viruses, making him a bit more resistant to disease than most.

Backstory: Raised by a good, hard-working family in a rural area near Niagara Falls, Ontario, James lives a pretty mundane but pleasant life. A single man of 25 years of age, he's primarily wrapped up in his job as a manager for a successful restaurant franchise in the city. Over the winter, he'd been noticing that he was feeling no need to wear a jacket, despite the incredibly cold temperatures that season. In fact, he could only feel that the wind was blowing - he could feel neither cold nor heat. One day, a fellow employee accidentally tripped, flipping a hot pan of grease directly at James' face. Despite what should have happened, James miraculously suffers no injury or pain whatsoever. Alarmed by what seems to be a problem with his nervous system, James immediately sees a doctor, only to find that nothing is wrong or abnormal with his body. As he holds the bill in his hand, distressed by what could be happening to him, he suddenly starts to notice the bill blackening and smoking - his hands are burning through the paper!

From there comes a journey of self-discovery and mystery, as a business trip to New York City inevitably unites him with the fellow "Heroes," and he discovers a shocking revelation - there are others with abilities like his. And his troubled cousin Isaac is one of them.

--------------

His personality would be pretty similar to mine - loves to joke around, all-around politeness, possessing an adventurous spirit. Easily overwhelmed by dangerous circumstances though, which could possibly make him a liability...
