Guests of toy maker Hasbro caught a humorous glimpse at an upcoming series of Video Blogs slated to start running in the coming weeks on the official Spider-Man 3 (http://www.comingsoon.net/films.php?id=4663) movie website (http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/spiderman3/blog/). At a party celebrating the new Hasbro/Marvel relationship, guests were treated to a brief Spider-Man V-Blog hosted by Bruce Campbell. The Blog consisted of Campbell putting forth the argument that his 'cameos' in the first two "Spider-Man" films were much bigger roles than fans give him credit for. After all, in the first film, he named Spider-Man.

"Let's face it, if it weren't for me, this franchise would be called the Human Spider," he said. The video cut to Campbell's scene as the wrestling announcer who shuns Peter Parker's wishes to be called the Human Spider in favor of 'The Amazing Spider-Man!'"

In the second movie, Campbell contests he defeated Spider-Man. The scene is shown where Campbell, as a snippy theater employee, denies a late Peter entrance into Mary Jane's play.

"In the third one, I... you think I'm going to tell you?!" said Campbell. Several quick set shots followed with Campbell clearly playing a restaurant maitre'd.

That's not a bad thing . As you saw in Spider-Man : the animated series [The Alien Costume Trilogy] episode . When was lossing control of his humanity under the control of the black symbiote Spidey.
That made awesome story telling . The hero battling the darkness inside of himself .

same here, I think 3 is still too many personaly, but I got faith in "the Raimi"...... but the way Avi made this annoucement of a 4th unknown villian, he knew that it would get fans crazed with anticipation and wonder... and I'm sure that was the intention, but he better be prepared for a backlash when people were expecting something like the lizard or cambel as mysterio... not emo parker

I remember that very well, I loved that series.... (what happened to MJ after she was sucked into that portal, oopps, another topic)

Avi Arad made it seem like there was this cool forth villian that no one knew about and that they were going to who us this weekend at Comic Con..... we all knew about the Symbiote Spider-man..... so what he said was a lie, we already new of the symbiote spider-man, and all fans of the TV show, and comics know that symbiote spider-man is somewhat of a bad entity, but I personaly don't see him as a "villian", I see him as like the "spawn", more of an anti-hero, I wouldn't go as far to call him a "villiian", but that's just based on what I know from comics and the TV show, who knows what Raimi's plans are with the character, I just think it was a cheap way to induce more "excitement" into an already highly anticipated movie......

I doubt sony or raimi give a flip about which villians appeared in the games. Those villians only appeared in the game because it was unlikely they would appear in the film considering most have been on the b list for a decade.
